At first glance I was thinking of some form of color/.box code, but a word in the background triggered n zrzbel bs n pregnva tnzr hfvat gurfr fdhnerf (encoded hints as to avoid being too spoiler-y) that made this easy to solve. Tip: This puzzle can be done using only a website and device (don't become too focused on the comments talking about automation, it can be done those ways but it really is up to you), but inputting the grid is the most tedious step- naq qba'g fvzcyl cerff cynl: gur fbyhgvba tbrf ol dhvpx. I think it’s just me ... I would gladly share the method but obviously it would give it away.
I’m going to try to code it in a shareable google sheet that I can share later
Edit: I made a 10x10 single step version in Google sheets on my phone. Has to use “#” in place of a solid black cell because iPhone google sheets doesn’t let you edit conditional formatting but it works.
Okay so I think I found a lead that makes sense? I want confirmation but don't want to give everything away here I found the hint on a decoding website that led me to a grid very similar to the one in the image am I going the right way for solving?
Hmm, I think you’re being to vague for me to tell if you are on the right path. Although hint in image —> processing method —> apply method to grid —> should be obvious from there
That handy dandy website from previous challenges worked a treat! And those extra grid lines did become very annoying later on. I almost wanted to print it out and just use black marker all them 😂
What do you mean by "secret number"?, I didn't use any math nor number manipulation to solve this challenge, only a big amount of patience rebuilding the grid, the whole passcode appears on its own.
Managed to solve it thanks to some of the hints, 'cause I've never heard of this thing before. There's one thing I'm curious about though: After converting, there seems to be some border bits that aren't involved in the solution. Do those have any known significance or are they just "side effects"?
Some prep work is required, but there are excel tools out there ready to plug in your matrix and do the work for you :)
Just make sure to take a screenshot of the results then try to use that, rather than scan what is on the screen (I know - doesn't make sense, but that is what I found - lost time retrying that).
I spent FOREVER on the scanning, only to finally find a site that could read my uploaded pic right away. I figured out how to do it hours ago, but have been redoing it over and over triple checking against the original, convinced I must have a bug somewhere because it would not freaking scan. Now to delete all five scanner apps I tried on my phone. Other than that weird difficulty, thumbs up!
(I also did it in Excel and double checked using a website.)
Those extra border bits made me repeat the whole process twice cause I thought my solution was wrong, I guess they're just leftovers from the initial grid.
It's a website quite a few users came across during the Dreamer challenge and I was gobsmacked when I found out it could assist me in this challenge too.
Is there some sort of error in the step 1 image code you need to correct? Nothing will scan it, I even manually plotted it in case the gridlines were throwing it off.
Comments
general tip for all these challenges if it doesn’t work first time, try again backwards, upside down, etc.
And all you need to do this in excel is a well constructed if statement and some conditional formatting. No guru needed.
I'm curious about how a few of you got it done using Excel, for real?
yes, the same as doing it repeatedly ... lol. at least 1 hour...😂✌️
Nuevo logro

just programming? or digital stuff as well?
done!
clue is visible.
Finally, the most elegant puzzle yet :-)
Do you have found the "secret" number in the image for the last or extra challenge?
Okay so I think I found a lead that makes sense? I want confirmation but don't want to give everything away here I found the hint on a decoding website that led me to a grid very similar to the one in the image am I going the right way for solving?
Yes, you repeat from the task to the grid and process it ... when you see it you will know the additional applications you need to use.. 😁
i can find no sign of one

What website did you talk about? I don't recall any websites in previous challenge...

Hi - yep - I used excel in the end.

Ironically not sure if the website I found was the one you meant but with it and the right words I finally found something that made sense to me.
Done and I hate my life.
Only thing I could maybe see is the 2 bold spots in the "format" at the bottom.
Those extra border bits made me repeat the whole process twice cause I thought my solution was wrong, I guess they're just leftovers from the initial grid.

Lo he logrado
I am on the last step. Color swap, but still can't seem to produce a result. Tried like five different apps...
Edit: found my error
Is there some sort of error in the step 1 image code you need to correct? Nothing will scan it, I even manually plotted it in case the gridlines were throwing it off.
maybe you should swap color first.
Enjoyed this one so much I tried it manually ... correct but scanning app didn’t like the mess even after erasing
not sure why I can figure out how to upload and image ...
