Since a solver didnt contact me, I'll generally say a theory.
I dont know if we should use the Polluck (Castor) decoder on the second or third step.
**Reference to this would be the Gemini Twins image**
Also, I wanted to confirm the 2nd character in the 19 string...I've had "j", but last night I used the alternative method of steganography and found that it might be a "7" instead...
The difficulty of this puzzle is not knowing whether or not you are on the right track. Usually the keyword gives some form of confirmation, but in this puzzle the keyword isn't a known one, and its obfuscated.
So I see, but it limits the alphabet length to less than the number of characters I want to use, which has already been stated to have 42 letters. (Have found an alternative site, but cannot find any key that makes sense at all.)
It would be useful if one of those who solved it would point towards the right decoding method or how to find the right key as a lot of people are stuck here. Thanks.
went to bed for a few hours after feeling I was so close. My main problem is I could not make any sense of the passcode “keyword” I got ... now I hear the keyword “isn’t a known one and it’s obfuscated” ... but none of the new clues help me know if I am on the right path :-(
I’ve had all 7 for well over 12 hours but I don’t see how to turn them into a key ... doesn’t help many of them have multiple titles and there is no authoritative list
I knew a great many tricksters in my life but I doubt they are high calibre enough. Altho I think HBomb and Olly Thorn are there at par with the greatest tricks of history.
I currently have 19 czech characters, the names/years of all 7 photos, and ...
a vague hint that somehow those portraits each devolve to a single character in a decoding key each, which is somehow applied to a coding method that is apparently mentioned on page 4 of the thread.
PS. That seventh portrait, the little circle in the challenge is from a larger detail than the rest used
Identifying the seven circles round her head is important. At least one of them has two different titles, which doesn't help, but yes it's the titles you want (not the dates). The last two works aren't on Mucha's Wikipedia page.
How does one find the 7 circle pictures if you don't have names or know where to start to search them I have the 19 letters with 4 of them being a different color not sure how relevant that is though.
The only one I've kinda sorta seen with two titles was the seventh, which I guess has a Czech name written on it, and an English name in any directory I've seen of the titles/posters.

herrings are red, emotions are blue,
the only thing missing is a simple clue.
you are now one of my favorite people in Ingress (Other than vanjeffries!)
I would suppose key is 7 characters long, am I on the right track?
yes.
I've got something starting with "ch"... but nothing make sense after that..
7 + 19 letters to solved this challenge
it's time to continue the didact field challenge 😁✌️
edit: add a little hint on the right path
Any hint on how to find the right key? From previous hint I know its ambiguous.

Thank you for creating the puzzle.
That decoding site (that's been so useful for the previous challenges) lets you specify the alphabet to use.
So I see, but it limits the alphabet length to less than the number of characters I want to use, which has already been stated to have 42 letters. (Have found an alternative site, but cannot find any key that makes sense at all.)
I wonder if you might need to remove the accents, similar to La Machina, then the alphabet is back to 26 letters...does that fit your decoder? 🤷♂️
After such, could the key be the 4 red colored letters in the 19 string?
spitballing for process of elimination

the right decoding method was mentioned by someone on the previous page and tried it from there because it has also been used in challenges before
No. They are important for the decode, but not the solve.
I got the 19 letters word, any help to find the 7 letters key?
The artsy circles are there for a reason. ;)
Someone's comment was actually ejected how the 7 letters accidentally / unconsciously.

I've found 6 of the 7 works the artsy circles are taken from. The 6th one (her hand is partially covering it) I haven't been able to find.

Also stuck knowing the art and dates with no clue how to get a keyword from them. 😢
Thank you!
and I solved it :-)
with a lot of hints because this is a lot of guesswork and I'm not good at guessing.
At this moment, looking at 7 portraits, I cannot guess what I need to guess. So you're at least two guesses farther along than us.

There definitely is. Hit me up on telegram if you need help
