Here we go agents!
On time. Seems hex to me
Hmmm ... no zeros, only one 1, few 8s and 9s, and lots of 3s, 4s and 5s.
No idea what that means though
256 chars? 8 bit?
The code posted incomplete. Here is the complete version. Good luck agents!
<code font size="n2esab" pixel width="4" pixel depth="^3">e4a4646494652374c4949565d423459494a5c454d4753574b4a544841565238594a5c464d4652374b4a56565f4253523b4a5c47555353555b4536544b4652385e494234554653574f425c465f42535237464c47455d4b485b45344849433b475e4a435747565357494a43464d4234554e4e4c47555453555b443d3d3d3d3d3d3</code>
Wait, there are two pixel attributes in the code. Maybe `pixel-width`, `pixel-depth` and `font-size`?
And every other digit is always(?) a 3, 4, or 5
size looks like base n2...?
May want to update the original post so people see the correct, and dont start working through the first code posted?
By my count, yes, always.
I see 28 unique pairs, which seems significant since there's only 128 pairs.
Does anyone else see the Unicode character codes in this?
ascii/unicode gives a mess as far as I can tell
Never mind but would have been better to be more clear
probably he's the guy that wrote it?
He/She is one of the testers of previous challenges. You can find his/her name on https://ingress.com/decoding/13archetypes. I assume this is the one who write this challenge.
The pairs appear to dance well. I hope that's not a dead endian.
I'm the listed tester of the code (once the scoreboard updates). Niantic will update the original post as soon as they can. I just didn't want you guys to miss out on the hint.
what "n2esab" means ?
Based on pixel-depth I think the code is a series of 24 bit colors. I managed to make them to be 32 colors but I didn't find a way to transform them to text.
anyone else stuck at jJTWF ???
Hopefully. I worked through the pairs, got the "font size" done, but it still looks like a mess at this stage.
yep, but reversed one :)
Me as well. Totally lost here. It just looks like "w t f*" to me...
CLARIFICATION PLEASE. I cannot tell whether the markup surrounding "e4...d3" is intended to be part of the encoded message, or if that is just an artifact of this forum and how a cut and paste was done.
The code around the outside should be considered part of the puzzle. This is similar to old school Jojo WOTD puzzle structure.
Well, as near as I can tell it's not part of a relevant shortened link.
(Unless out-of-stock Japanese dinnerware is somehow relevant to the puzzle.)
Something else I've noticed: "pixel width" is 4 and "pixel depth" is ^3.
Not 3, ^3.
And 4^3 is 64... I wonder if that's relevant.
cool, thank you! decoded
