That was definitely one of the more frustrating bits of this puzzle. There's no obvious sign that you've gone wrong here, if you didn't make the adjustment.
really dont look at hints unless you have in your head a path forward, they are mostly useful to check user error, in that the real problem sometimes in these challenges is having the right idea and the right path but some detail about how you are to do it is killing you.
I think I don't get it. Maybe my head is still a bit confused from all the fields which I made over the past days. I got to the relevant wiki, but I don't seem to get it what I should do next. What do you exactly mean with "fold/add what is readable back in"?
I have had C for 2 days. It gave me hope that I was going to move right through this puzzle. However I have been stuck on A ever since. Can someone **** my a hint on the cypher in telegram. I feel like I have tried them all and I never get anything obvious and definitely not anything from a webpage.
The C never changes. It gets used, but at best, in the end is just returned to you in its original form at which point you just basically throw it away and never think about it again.
Worked on this for several hours over the past several days. Enjoyed the numerous connections with the theme! Thanks to all the contributors on this forum for the nudges without taking the fun out of solving this one! As always, all the hints make much more sense after solving the puzzle! The last step had me going in several directions. Thanks @Laslooo for your comment here which finally got me to the keyword!
I have the 6 letter prefix (character in the 3rd and 6th position the same), the 3 word phrase from the song, (appropriate to the theme, particularly the last word of the phrase) and 13ar, but putting this all together doesn't work as a passcode, am i missing something?
>B: use the new stuff you got from A with a beautiful variant of tool you used in A. Group IA should make sense. 8 letters. 5 symbols. Order naturally. Change to numbers. Use greek megalopolis author of The Histories for help. greeks didn't like Js. Remove C. <
Im stuck here (guess so) i have 8 letters, 5 symbols and the greek gave me acalc...... . Am i doing it right so far ?
Dont get the 'Remove C' how can i remove C ? The decoding tools i used just let me input a key to do something but not remove something .... pls help
copy (not cut) the readable stuff (50 letters?) , add it to the end of the key. should see the old readable stuff plus new readable stuff. continue process.
Google "greek megalopolis author of The Histories cipher"... find the relevant cipher at the french cipher site.
But first, you need to order your 5 symbols (which should be related to Group IA)... if Group IA doesn't make sense, you may have used the wrong variant of the cipher to get where you are. None the less, once you know what these symbols represent (Group IA), look at web sites to see what the natural ordering of them should be... once you have the order, the easiest thing to do is to convert the symbols to numbers. Using the cipher above, and this new list of numbers, you should get something that looks like there could be words hidden in there. Don't worry about "Remove C" until you're at this point.
I got a bit further. Had a real wrong turn. Now i am at a point where i manage to get the 13ar after removing C. Up to the last puzzle now since still to much for a passcode. And even if you know what to do it is tricky.

Re: B's variant, I'm remidned of Istanbul: "Why they changed it I can't say, People just liked it better that way"
Can anyone help me on telegram please! Been puzzling over the keyword for about 14 hrs now and at the end of my tether!
Edit: Many thanks RR!

Hello.
I have a point of music.
I think this making sense.but It can't be taking me.
is there prefix wrong?
Please can anyone help me on telegram!
Edit: Big Thanks Rusdian Rize !
there are hint here in choosing words to try
the prefix and suffix is clearly visible there, other letters left is a clue where the keyword is and when the keyword is heard.

This really used the theme! The last step with the keyword was unusual, and not a known keyword but it fit the theme.
Thanks for the clues here, and also on Tg 👍
This hint threw me a bit - the keyword is two short words THEN one longer word! (I read this as being a longer word in the middle 🙈)
Really good description with hints, but without telling everything! Nice!
Sorry 🥺
Btw. Did you all notice that the video you are probably watching to solve one part of this challenge has the Nemesis logo in it?
Ha! Don’t worry, I got there in the end 😂

Thanks for the challenge @Vorticity! Well done!

No
thanks, solved, transcription error sorted now

"acalc..." is wrong. Check your previous steps
Yeah, looks like i took a wrong turn. I have 200 numbers/symbols but not 100

I have a question about decoding B. I am getting "qt". This is fed to Greeks to get "BH".
However, there was a hint that the Greeks would eat it to get "9".
Do I need to cook "qt" before feeding it to Greeks? Or is "qt" an ingredient that needs to be processed before it can be obtained?
If you get output starting Qt then you used the wrong variant of the cipher.
This should not be necessary if you use an online decoding tool that knows about this variant of the cipher.
Thanks to everyone that reached out to get me back on track. It was a fun puzzle once I was able to move past using C with A and adding in B.
Driving me crazy to be close to solving, but missing something. Been stuck trying to remove C from B for quite some time, but no cigar. 41...
