@NianticThia I was told to post on the forms about my issue. I completed more than 6 unique missions and I still have not received another tick for my Mission Day badge. I also filled out the Google form to report this. Thank you in advance.
There are MD missions in my area that I've done before. Are we supposed to redo them every month?
Could Niantic make some new ones?
Or allow community built missions. There are already a number of 2nd Sunday banners made for July. If you could allow us to mark missions as 2nd Sunday in some way, we could create fresh content every month.
You can use https://bannergress.com/map?onlyOfficial=1 to see all the official mission collections by Niantic that are valid for the upcoming second sunday mission days. (You need to zoom in to see all in an area, not all are shown when zoomed out)
Hi @OperatorW - Following up quickly; I'm showing you received the badge tick. Enough time has past that the badge tick would show under MONTH, not WEEK.
Historically, Mission Days have been one-day events in one specific city, like Fukuoka, JP Mission Day or Frisco, TX US Mission Day. Over time, more than 10,000 missions have been crowdsourced by Agents who have wanted to host Mission Days to highlight their local area. Agents who visited these areas after the one-day event could still complete these high-quality missions for SpecOps medal credit, but credit towards the Mission Day medal was limited to that one day.
Ingress Second Sunday is designed to expand the reach of existing Mission Day missions to more Agents, over more time. Second Sunday on 11 July allowed Agents to complete any 6 missions anywhere for one Mission Day medal increment regardless of whether they were official Mission Day missions. To highlight the more than 10,000 Mission Day missions, Ingress Second Sunday on 8 August and 12 September narrow the focus to missions that fall under the "NIA" mission filter.
During these two events, complete any 6 Mission Day missions, including ones you've previously completed, from the "NIA" filter between 00:00 and 23:59 local time to earn one Mission Day medal increment. For September, we will work with those Agents who submitted Mission Day applications prior to COVID to determine if they are interested in waiting to host their Mission Day or if they’d like to have their missions added into Ingress to highlight their areas before opening the application to new Mission Day submissions (that was a mouthful…).
We will be evaluating Agent activity and feedback during the August and September Second Sunday events to determine the future beyond September.
The intention of a Mission Day is to encourage Agents to travel to places outside of their home area and experience someplace and something new via high-quality missions
complete any 6 Mission Day missions, including ones you've previously completed,
This is contradictory.
Please reconsider how this events will work in the future to be validate only with new missions, not just the same ones.
This will just end being easy badge points to everyone who live in cities with MD missions, by just doing the easiest 6 every month.
I’ve seen a Google Maps link for official NIA missions qualified for August and September 2nd Sunday.
Once it had Savannah, Georgia USA on … then it didn’t … then it did. Can we get a definitive answer and link to qualifying missions for August and September?
I want the real Mission Days to return, not just publish some new Mission Day missions. Second Sunday is NOT a replacement for a real Mission Day where you meet other people. There are protocols for safe travel in many EU countries and people have had their chance to get vaccinated, so please go forward with EU Mission Days, of course you should consult with the local communities if they think it is safe.
Due to pandemic covid-19 still high in some country, especially in Asia. Which mean many roads blocked and travel bans by their goverment
Please make a second sunday August & Sept same rules as July, complete any 6 missions.
Or make a different rules in every country, like if the country still high cases cov-19 they can complete any 6 missions. If in low or none cases they can complete 6 missions under "NIA".
Please aware to your agent and as your warning message at every niantic games "remain alert and aware of your surroundings at all the times"
Not only aware of vehicle or people, but aware to virus & players health too.
You can use https://bannergress.com/map?onlyOfficial=1 to see all the official mission collections by Niantic that are valid for the upcoming second sunday mission days. (You need to zoom in to see all in an area, not all are shown when zoomed out)
I just noticed the confusion in translations from the original post, as not all countries follow am/pm clocks (I'm personally only used to 24 hour clocks).
It might be a wise choice to include "midnight" to your 12am's and "noon" to any 12pm's in the future, to reduce confusion and avoidable discussions in other languages (:
Have a great day!
Edit: seems like I can't edit out my bad tag, sorry
No, I am asking about the mission in Zaporizhia. Dnipro is a completely different city. And you are right, Dnipro had MD on August 11, 2018. But I don't want to go to Dnipro, I just want to do MD missions in Zaporizhia.
Zaporizhia is one of the few cities where Niantic did MD without a mission ;-P
That is why most people have taken to never using 12:00 instead 12:01- 11:59 just for those people that can't work out that am = midnight to midday pm midday to midnight

I filled in the form mentioned by @Martinmm7 I got the mission day awarded soon afterwards. Thank you to Niantic for fixing this for me.

I would really like to know the same.
I'm guessing it's from 0:00 to 23:59. I've heard 12am used for midnight but never for noon.
Still requires a lot of travel. Shame, if we would be able to create missions for this I’d give it a go. Shame, guess i’ll wait for official MD’s.
I was wondering if we could create missions for this. but it seems not. Guess I will have to sit out the August one. Maybe September too.

In my case, I will necessarily have to travel, but it's great that they come back.🤘

Absolutely the wrong thing to be doing during a pandemic.
yeah, that map was fanmade. not accurate enough imo.
you could check bannergress.com or intel for specific missions in specific locations
because your nation might have travel bans? what about the other 150 nations worldwide?

Because assembling in large groups kills people.

Thanks NIA for Decond Sundays' events.
I want and wait for MD in Karaganda, KZ

Hi,
I would like to ask which missions should I do in the city of Zaporizhzia, Ukraine to complete the MD?
If I remember correctly, MD was there on May 26, 2018.
Do you mean this one?

Sry not traveling 3+ hours to do NIA missions, please charge the parameters for cities without MDs
You can do ANY 6 missions and count for the mission day medal
Good thing you don’t have to. ;P
