There are numbers of posts and then there are quality of posts or insightful posts or liked posts. Quality may be more subjective. I applied realizing I was being asked to be more active. I also was effective in my few posts at changing things globally like adding mission days to Hexathlons. That wasn’t my own genius, it was being active with other chats and attending events that brought me to understand that it would be a useful post. I also know this post is starting an argument but I am offering instead as discussion of metrics here in the forums.
While I stand by the choice Niantic has made regarding the selected XM Ambassadors, and I understand that individual cases of the selection process can't be discussed in the public domain, I can't ignore the concerns raised by Oscar's post.
What I don't understand is how a 'requirement' (a 'must') is changed into a 'maybe' (a 'plus'?). If it was a 'maybe' to start with, it should have been mentioned as such in the post introducing the XM Ambassadors program. Not mentioning it as such creates an inbalance between players that applied and players that didn't apply because of low forum activity.
Umm, I don’t think the account is banned. You have probably reached the limit on how many profiles you are allowed to view in a day. Once you hit that point, there is a cooldown period (I think it’s 4 hours?) where it shows you that message. If you were to try open any other local profile from your scoreboard as well, you would get the same message.
Just to prove this, here is a screenshot of the said profile I pinged and was able to view as I was not under the said “cooldown”.
In the ban mail, it states something like "You're can create a new account to play with as long as you follow TOS with it." If Niantic only checks the current account for infractions and not "the player" as a whole, they might be fine with it (Something along the lines of "Yes, the first account was banned, but the new account is in good standing." Second chance and all that.). All speculation of course, I assume no one really has an idea how much they dug before giving the all clear.
I have dusted (with great nostalgia) my previous email, and I have checked the email confirming my ban, and indeed in the last lines it says "We appreciate that you would like to continue to play Ingress and are welcome to play using a new account; as long as you play fairly, and follow the Ingress Terms of Service and the Community Guidelines. " .... I'm taking things as easy as possible as this has been really badly taken out of context, thanks for the support.....
An odd line that I usually don't see mentioned or remember in any amendment to the TOS.
It sounds like Niantic provides in legal terms a "standard offer" but this condition seems to be very troublesome with agents who act in bad faith. Anyone who sees a person return will automatically assume it's in bad faith (think it's a secondary account). This just makes anyone with disciplinary actions to be in a grey area - especially with the three strikes rule.
I'm really surprised that it wasn't until a few weeks ago that a strict "one account per email" was stated. I understand the possible overlap with other Niantic games but it just seems functionality within the "Niantic social account" be a no-brainer for unity of one account.
TLDR It really seems you have a lot to lose once you no longer have a clean slate.
In response to your comment in which you want to harm him and end the illusions of someone who wants to help the community voluntarily, you who were chosen as POC of the 4E ENL and although it can be seen that you have already been suspended 2 times Do you think you have the power to judge or point out other agents? Have some decensy
@Xavikle Thanks for your patience. Ops has investigated both the accounts and we've decided to keep @XaviDarker93 on as an XMA.
To provide more context on this decision, Ops used to provide, under some circumstances, an opportunity for a banned player to start with a new account as long as they agreed to adhere to the TOS and Community Guidelines. This was offered only to a small number of banned players taking into account their overall history and the reason for the ban.
XaviDarker was given the chance to restart with a new account and based on our investigations, @XaviDarker93 has had no violations since this account was created and is eligible to continue to play.
In that case, just out of curiosity, I either can't count to 50 or there are only 46 agent listed as XMA. Is there a reason for that? Was my application really that bad? 😛
E: Apparently I can't count, there are only 45 listed.
@InvestigateXM It is currently 45 and we have a few openings for the level 5-8 group. We are discussing within the XMA group on how we want to handle these open slots.
We had the highest number of applications in the Level 14-16 and Recursed group and it was a tough call to go from a couple of hundred applications to the top 12. Happy to DM you if you have any other questions on your application.
For Recursed people that's definitely true. I got back to 8 in 3 hours without any planning, and only about 50 free inventory spots that weren't L8 gear (I completely forgot to clear space first).
For a newer player that period may take far longer though as they learn how to play. Someone level 5-8 has a very different view of the game than people who've been through 40 million or more AP. They're a useful insight into things like how good the new tutorial is for a new player, and what areas of information are missing, or how easily they can find a community or contact nearby players.
Stuff we take for granted, a new player will still be learning and have a completely different view of.
I do think the level 5-8 category (fresh) ,is or will be a bit of inexperienced . What I feel is to be taken into consideration is the months of play, with regard to experience.
When I was a Smurfling, I was playing solo, learning as I went along, haven't found the subreddit, and it took me about 2 months to reach level 8. So there's a small window there. On the other hand, I'm not sure how much value my views then would have been. I guess it could provide a different perspective.

Good question saarstahl

Congratulations on your ambassadorships! Hope this means that there will be a lot of bugfixes and new features in the scanner coming soon.
My poor ability not to be able to spell very well. 😂 "rolodex"
I still do not know what it is.
Could you please elaborate further?
Thx a lot
The old rotating telephone/address detail indexes.
How that relates to Ingress Agents I don't know, unless he's talking about pinging people or checking forum profiles.
Thanks a lot for the insight

I did not know that the program allows people who have their account banned @NianticPooja @NianticBrian @NianticAndres @NianticOfficial @ATR0P0S @VAIN @LuDGeRBriNk @AleRev @BlueThug
@Xavikle Thanks for the flagging. Ops is looking into it.

The original account XaviDarker was banned, the other is potentially thier second after that.

I believe that particular line has been removed from the ban emails.
I wonder, you flag this because you care or in spite because of what happened with the RazorEcu account?

I think this opinion it's only personal, because he don't win a ambassador title, and have personal problems 🖖 peace
Hello! 😅
Opaaa eae vei blz!
Congrats to all new XM Ambassors 👌
This is another step in the right direction. I hope to see more engagement in the near future.

Yes, yes it was.😝I am counting 45... The real question is, which one of the two of us is bad at counting? 🤪

People are only level 5-8 for very short periods really? Seems odd to choose this as an interval?
Last time I recursed I was level 8 in a few hours. I think even when I first started it only took a few weeks?
Records around 45 seconds?
