Since the 5th anniversary the old agents has an issue with the 5 key lockers bundle. It wasn’t mentioned on the live or anywhere else that the agent that didn’t had bought the bundle before redeem the 5th anniversary gift won’t be able to do it.
I remember this was later said as a bug, but that bug wasn’t never fixed. Do you know about it or can comment about it?
because it feels like the old agents are being punished because watched the live event and redeemed the gift before other people find out the problem.

Duplicate submission of candidates is currently generating a new picture in the preexisting portal. Can this function be removed? At least when the submission were made from other game (unknown agent)? Since not every portal is used is all Niantic games, there is no way to non-ingress player to know that the POI already exists, so there been A LOT of duplicates in recon, and some portals are getting A LOT of new unnecessary pictures (mostly worse). Let new pictures be added manually.
Edits in opr seem to be taking a very very very long time. Has Nia Ops thought about anyways that they can speed up this process? It's sometimes gets frustrating as a reviewer to see four or five edits that move a portal to roughly the same place but since they're all separate and all just a few metres off we have to choose between many locations that are all technically correct. It seems like this would cause more confusion, And Delay an official edit.
Maybe a trusted editor could be a suggestion. Someone who might be able to go out and verify and edit in person or is well knowledgeable about the area.
I've heard a number of folks say they will never use prime and will quit the game when redacted is deactivated. Is there a message that we can help pass along into the community to help encourage them to keep playing?
Are there any additional events or tangible changes planned for shortly after the end of redacted? The future feels very uncertain, and I think a better sense of what's coming in the future might better motivate people to stick around.
I know you guys are very busy getting prime ready for the retirement of redacted but...are there any plans to add new items/weapons into the roster once redacted is gone?
Hi Mr. Krug, I want to make a documentary about ingress however you told me you cannot grant me permission to use your logos so... Any suggestions on how to make an ingress film without using the ingress logos?
Hi Andrew! There are many agents in my community that are heavily invested and excited about submitting new portals, especially in parks and small towns in the area. In Redacted, submissions are submitted in the background with a long or nonexistent timeout period. In Prime, however, submissions are pushed through on the front end with a rather short timeout period, meaning that the portal must be submitted in an area with near-perfect cell service. Many of the parks/small towns that we are trying to add portals to are not in areas with near-perfect cell service, and I myself have had to cancel a few portal submissions because my submission would not go through due to less-than-perfect cell service combined with the short timeout period. This seems to hurt rural players, the growth of small communities, and seems to go against the spirit of exploring the world that is upheld in Ingress, so I was wondering if this is being addressed in future updates to Prime? and if not, why not?
Again, thanks for all you do for the Ingress community!
In the US the modern day Post Office isn't as valued as highly as before. It still has a very integral relationship to the mailing and shipping industry but post offices aren't being added. Instead smaller businesses that operate as a Post Office and other services are becoming more popular.
What are your thoughts about all the smaller businesses that now have the same function as a Post Office since they are allowed legally to have the same functions and also use US Postal Services for free. What I mean by free is that they can collect the US Postal Services Mail from the Post Office or collect mail for the people and send it to the Post Office.
These locations also tend to have weird names because they are considered as local businesses and aren't part of FedEx or UPS but also provide those features as part of deals they have with the said carrier.
The question then is, are these local postal stores considered the same as a Post Office and are they viable as a candidate for a portal as a result? These locations are not affiliated to any particular mail services.
Would the team at Niantic be open to considering raising the limit on the number of missions a single agent may submit, dependent on the number of unique missions they have completed? (For example, the cap could remain at 150 until the agent completes 150 missions, and then their cap could be raised by one mission per three further missions the agent completes thereafter.)
I've been reporting a few portals as invalid for months now. Appealed, all denied. Now I did OPR Live and filled in the form with the same data, and the invalid portals are finally removed.
So... What's the difference between OPR Live form and the appeals community?
When repositioning a portal in OPR it always automatically give 5 stars in 'is this location correct'. What's the reason for that? What's happens with your suggested new position? Will it re-appear in OPR as a portal edit?
Are you aware of the complications resulting from the Pokestop Nominations feature in Pokemon Go? (Which basically uses the Ingress Portal system, including OPR).
Example1: Pokemon players can't see certain portals since some don't appear in PoGo. So they submit those. These then needlessly flood OPR. PoGo players get confused when their nominations get rejected.
Example2: A Pokemon player submits a POI and gets an email "Good work your Pokestop got accepted" (or whatever it is), but the POI never appears in PoGo since it has different rules for density of portals.
Are you working on a solution for that or do you have something in mind?
When will PRIME receive the "sharing" option? Redacted / "good old" Ingress client has it since years. several thousands of users wait for this to be included in PRIME. Make Prime great and include it. :-)
As I am regularly attending two sites at each anomaly series, it would be great to have a simulacrum sign around the anomaly badges, where you attended more than one site. Maybe also for events in the past. I guess that would be an incentive for agents to visit more than just one site!
Are the non affiliated to a large company post offices viable as a candidate even though they are not proper government post office facilities but still have the same functions?
Hola. Una pregunta... Al registrarme en ingress y dar de alta mi e-mail detecto k esta mal pero aun asi me deja ingresar y me llegan correos pero no me deja ingresar al intel ni al opr que puedo hacer para solucionarlo???
I'd like to ask if NIA Ops could publish a simple list / chart of consequences for rules violations.
The primary motivation for this is the following scenario: Honest agents see flagrant, open-and-shut cases of cheating happening, report the cheating, and maybe even escalate the issue through a Trusted Reporter. Nothing happens. The cheating continues for a while, and then stops. The agents who reported the action get responses saying that "[we] have taken action where appropriate." Checks of the reported agent's profile (without any comm harassment :) ) show that the account is still active. At some point later, someone may notice that the account has been deactivated. Or not.
I understand the need to be somewhat opaque about disposition of a given report, in order to mitigate abuse of the reporting system. But it would be useful to know what to expect in terms of a response. If action X is supposed to result in consequence Y, and it's apparent that the consequence never was issued, then I'd like the chance to reopen the case and ask what was unclear about my report. I personally have never been asked by Support for additional info or context regarding a report I have submitted, so I don't know if a) such requests are ever made by Support, or b) cases with incomplete info are simply dismissed.
In the past, you have said that, when reporting an issue, just the bare minimum info is sufficient: agent name, portal names/location, date/time. But often times it is not obvious just by looking at the intel map that a given transit time is impossible given the portal actions taken. It's not clear how much time I would need to spend spelling out what makes an activity an obvious case of location spoofing.
Fortunately, I have seen blatant spoofers banned. This is encouraging. But I have also seen at least one case where no action seems to have been taken. I have no way of knowing if there was more I should have done in that case, or if the info I provided was sufficient. (Should I have provided more details? Should I have asked others to report also? Should I have escalated the case?)
With regards to those "joystick" apps (Ingress++ for example) that allow you to falsify your GPS location and freely move it as you please, do you guys have any counter-measure against it? Either in-game to at least ban those players or (I don't know...) maybe even legal action againts the people behind them.
I hope I am wrong, but I honestly feel that you are having trouble detecting those fake apps, hence many of our reports have little to no impact on spoofers.
I am aware that in some cases, actions taken by a spoofer can be reverted to a degree. From what I know, this seems to be limited to reversion of a portal to a previous state, with the portal/resos/mods now being owned by NIAGameMaster. Restoring links is understandably a tricky situation. What about the case of a spoofer not capturing any portals or deploying/installing/destroying any resos/mods, but instead making links between portals? Is it possible to have such links removed if they are between portals which meet the same criteria that is used for consideration when reverting a portal's state?

Hi Andrew,
another question: Will NL1331 finally renamed to MOIN1131?
Hi Andrew,
There will be the option to share the profile/stats in Prime?
Thanks

What do you think of planegressing, e.g. like resistance.airforce
Supporting the DarkXM Linkpath from Geneva to Innsbruck: swiss-ingress.ch/#58

Hi Andrew
As there is a job offer for "Global Community Manager, Niantic" the question is real: will you quit?
nianticlabs.com/jobs/global-community-manager-niantic/ (can't post links in this forum)
How Ingress Prime UI rework will affect plans to retire Redacted by end of September 2019 ?
Do you give players possibility to use Redacted longer as Prime UI rework means also that agents need time to learn to use the new Prime UI ?
"Apparently an UI rework is coming for Ingress Prime! "
Can we get our portalnomination fotos saved to the phone's storage?
And it would also be nice to have them back in the confirmation mail body instead of the link to a lowquali foto
