Accepting terms of service is not possible

After a fresh install, the game shows the terms of service, however accepting is not possible. A pop up says "an error has occurred. Please try again later." It is not possible to get past that point. Deleting cache and app data did not help.

I would attach a screenshot, but I am not allowed because "I have to be around a little while longer."
