How does the Largest Field MUs x Days (Weekly view), and the Mind Unit Control (Now view) work?

So, a couple of days ago, I had some help being driven around to finally get my Onyx Illuminator badge.
The largest field I made is 68,958 MU and it covered Exeter. The other 12 fields were not much smaller, but enough to get me to the 4 million. I think the smallest was still over 66,000. Absolutely over 60,000.
All good so far.
That was coming up to 3 days ago. The largest field before that would have been in the hundreds. If it was 1,000 I'd be amazed!!!
What I do not understand is why the current week's Largest MUs x days value is 151,558, and the current Mind Unit Control on the Now page is 180,703.
The total number of MUs I caught this week is 816,214 MUs. Some of that will be from a lot of small fields in Palermo for Discoverie and Mission Day and the like. Maybe a total over 1,000 but very much not a large number.
Can anyone explain what the scanner is showing as the values make no sense.

For the now tab, it's 1/24th of the MU for each resonator you own on the portals that contains fields (regardless of who made those fields
Ex. A 24MU field from 3 portals where you own all 24 resonators would add 24 to MU control in the now tab, if you didn't own any resonators on those portals it would add 0.
I'm not familiar with how the MU x days count works so I'll leave that for someone else
Ah. I capped 1 of the 3 portals and they got some upgrades. Does it mean my "taxi" driver got some more "now" because of my 2 links?
Yes, if they own resonators on the portals you used to field, their now MU would have increased as well
And I just did a few small fields and that boosted the "now" with 100% of the mu!!! That's that one explained perfectly!!!

One side effect of this calculation is that you can swipe some Now MU from someone else simply by bumping one of their anchors. I think I have about 50K Now MU although I have no idea where it might be.
Aside from the above comments about how the Now-MU is calculated, Now-MU includes all fields still in existence, while MUxDays counts only the single field with the largest stat.
