XM investigations in 2023 will continue with Discoverie. To earn the Discoverie Anomaly medal, Agents may interact with at least five (5) Battle Beacons deployed at any of the nine (9) Anomaly sites by NIASection14, or fulfill Challenge-specific criteria in Phase 2 and Phase 4. Agents are considered interacting with a Battle Beacon if they:
- Deploy or Upgrade Resonator (note: upgrading your own Resonators does not count)
- Attack or Destroy Resonator
- Destroy Portal Mod
- Destroy Link
- Recharge Resonator (note: this includes Remote Recharge)

October Events
7 October: First Saturday (#IngressFS)
- Register through Fev Games
8 October: Second Sunday (#Ingress2S)
- Event takes place from 00:00 to 23:59 LOCAL time
- Complete any 6 unique Ingress Missions to increase your Second Sunday medal by 1 count
14 October: Discoverie Anomaly (#Discoverie) - Primary Site: Madrid, Spain; Satellite Sites: Taichung, Taiwan and Curitiba, Brazil
19 October - 17 November: Discoverie Kinetic Challenge (#Discoverie)
- Faction-vs-Faction challenge with a significant impact on Anomaly score
- Anomaly medal will be awarded to high-achieving Agents
November Events
4 November: First Saturday (#IngressFS)
- Register through Fev Games
10-20 November: Ingress Year 11 (#IngressYear11)
- 2X AP for all actions.
- 2X hack output of building gear (Resonators, Power Cubes) from friendly Portals.
- 2X hack output of attack gear (XMP, Ultra Strike) from enemy Portals.
- Drone cooldown reduced to 11 mins.
- Kinetic Capsule Program distance reduced from 8km to 1km.
- 11 Kinetic Capsule Programs can be activated in parallel
- Overclock Glyph Hack duration extended to 110 seconds
- 2X deploy L8 Resonators. After the Year 11 event ends, the Ingress Year 11 medal will be awarded to all Agents who’ve earned more than 0 AP between 15 November 2022 to 20 November 2023.
12 November: Second Sunday (#Ingress2S)
- Event takes place from 00:00 to 23:59 LOCAL time
- Complete any 6 unique Ingress Missions to increase your Second Sunday medal by 1 count
18 November: Discoverie Anomaly (#Discoverie) - Primary Site: Bangkok, Thailand; Satellite Sites: Palermo, Italy and Atlanta, GA, USA
16 November - 15 December: Discoverie Reclaimer Challenge (#Discoverie)
- Faction-vs-Faction challenge with a significant impact on Anomaly score
- Anomaly medal will be awarded to high-achieving Agents

The Ingress 2sDay #Ingress2sDay events feature a double AP bonus every Tuesday, 4pm to 9pm local time until further notice.
On Ingress Second Sundays
The Ingress Second Sunday #Ingress2S events were introduced to encourage exploration and adventure, and we are ready to expand the idea by adding more variations to the ways you may earn this medal. While doing 6 unique Missions will still suffice through December, Agents could be offered an alternative set of challenges in later Second Sundays.

These challenges run for almost a month, I'd be surprised if they aren't global

Nice to have a global event but I think we missed the Halloween and Christmas ones? Perfect chance to sell a medal.
Seems niantic has abandon all season events compare to the previous years how it looked.. i wonder why ? Shame no more global event just 1 this year in march is a bit little.. Wish they gave us a reason for that.
After all the AP bonus in L8 Week I expected a bit more from the November event.
You should publish the list of "High achieving agents" as the event occurs. Don't surprise us at the end with "You weren't even close to the top ten percent!"
Ultimately, it might turn into battle of the bots.
So a kinetic cap based challenge. Will they up the drop rate on the damn things or will we be forced into a pay to win situation?
Is the last anomaly Dec 16 or 17? It says 17, but that’s a Sunday.

For context for Americans regarding site locations for someone living in Oceania (Aus, NZ and the various islands in the South Pacific):
Imagine you were living in Los Angeles, and the closest anomaly to you was in Bolivia. Or living in Miami, and the closest anomaly was in Uruguay.
It's the same for anyone living in most of Africa, with the closest sites being Spain or Turkey depending on which side you're living on. I'm glad Niantic recognized that South America exists, but we fought this battle with "Old Niantic" long ago, and even @NianticBrian has come to Oceania anomalies.
9 sites. 8 are in only one half of the globe. Is it no wonder the communities down here are disappearing.
I expected more global events this year to be honest.
When will mission days be announced for Q4?
Something to get agents up and out playing. I guess they'd rather do 5 hour 2x AP days and hope the whales will buy Apex & VRBB.
I have mentioned many times that niantic has options to be more inclusive of the entire globe for anomalies, whether it be more satellite sites, connected cells, or something else.

Just keys, because Machina makes fielding using said keys near impossible currently. But I have them stored away in key capsules for that hopeful day, that Ingress will pull their heads outta their *** and remember they actually like big fields.
There are plenty of agents who run VRBB's on their AP engines repeatedly to level up, recurse, rinse and repeat. Just because you don't do it, doesn't mean it doesn't get done (and no, I don't do it).
This appears that it won't use Agent Ops for tracking progress.
Would have expected that Agent Ops would be up and used, requiring a certain number of Reclaimed portals as a minimum by the system
Why? This has been done by a metric in stats for years now, it doesn't require AgentOps

What happens when an agent uses an apex during Year 11 celebrations?
Will it be 4X or will it be 6X like level 8 day?

Any Agent who completes the minimum contribution towards the Global Operation (30 or more Kinetic Capsules claimed in Phase 2, 100 or more Machina Portals Reclaimed in Phase 4) will earn the in-app Discoverie medal.

So i just capture 100 red portals between 16 nov - 15 dec and i get the medal right? Sounds easy to do.
About the kinetic challange, does only the infinite capsule count or the normal ones (that decay after some use) too? Can i start more then one? So i could launch my 30 kinetic capsules at once together? :-D
Event info says completed capsules count, so all common or rare count. And you can have the common plus 6 rare done but not claimed on day one, and then claim all 7 for completion credit. In 30 days you can complete it for medal easy with just the common capsule even without the early 7 and the reduced km period. It's way to easy to be a challenge.

Was looking forward to it after it was delayed from Q3 to Q4 2023.
Maybe it still is at the conclusion of the CTRL Anomaly series, just don't know.

Was there last year? at most maybe the badges will be on sale, but not an actual event i doubt before 11 year double ap event.. Mini events seems to have vanished we didnt even get anything during summer all focus just anomalies this year
Intresting, i see the old misty hanna medla in the shop, not the new one.
Niantic likes to wait for it to get cold in North America before they do mini events.
