Link between MACHINA and Dark XM?

I wanted to raise a point, a theory even, about the Dark XM and it’s possible relation to the MACHINA portals. They look very different to normal portals, e.g. neutral or controlled by the resistance or enlightened. I have little knowledge on Dark XM other than our scientific theory of dark matter or antimatter; where the dark matter exists as though a mirror to matter. If you touch a mirror or try to go through, the mirror You stops you. In the same fashion, should matter and dark matter collide, both are erased. If MACHINA is controlling portals with dark matter, it would explain two things:
- the abnormal appearance with no portal light, but just the pyramid base, blackened, with crystalline growths.
- upon hacking, your XM is drained, as dark XM collides with XM released to perform the hack, a chain reaction is started through the XM in the air around you in order to further empty your XM tank.

One question that's never been properly answered: What's the difference between Dark XM and Chaotic/Chaos XM?
do you mean CMU (chaotic matter units) for the store?
Want that answered in the anime? Sarah stated that something along the lines of "Chaotic Matter, we (Hulong) call is Dark XM"
If they call it dark XM, then CMU (chaotic matter units) may be linked to MACHINA, as in the store, it is presented in red font. This would mean that the chaotic matter is being transmuted into XM.
Anime isn't the Prime universe, and no main storyline has linked Chaotic Matter and Dark XM.
So we just have to see how MACHINA and Dark XM holds up. All we need is some counter-evidence to either disprove me or be disproven.
One thing I noticed about the second point is if you have a hypercube and you hack the dark xm portal, you don’t lose all of your hypercube or xm, I’m L7, hacked a dark portal with a hypercube and only a chunk of the hypercube was taken, neither the hypercube nor the reserves go completely empty. I’ll post a video later for those who aren’t able to make sense of it.
It subtracts 100% worth of your normal XM bar. A hypercube has multiple worth of your XM bar, hence why it lowers quite a bit but not totally. It zaps you for 100% of your XM bar but the hypercube replenishes it.
