Kythera Conter doesn't go up and doesn't award badge

I've placed ~12 Beacons which I have all interacted with (as indicated by the COMM alert), however the counter is stuck at 0 and the anomaly medal wasn't awarded.

Same thing happened to me
I deployed and fought on 10 Battle Beacons, the stat is still 0 as per OP's screenshot.
I confirmed the same thing too.
I used RBB and did resonator deploy and recharge in time, but kythera does not count.

Same here, deployed 11 beacons. Counter still says 0 and no badge
i just read this post and checked my profile. Same thing is happening to me. I deployed 2 beacons and my counter is not going up

Got the badge! But now, it's not at the front of the Anomaly badges. Pls fix Niantic thx 🙈

Niantic are also aware of the placement issue - it might be further down the list than making sure the event is counting though

Did not event count on my scanner
Check your Alerts tab. Are the Battle Beacons listed there as well? If not, you probably haven't interacted with the Battle Beacons in a way it counts as an interaction. For example, deploying the beacon and/or hacking the portal a Battle Beacon is on does not count.
Same as above. Kythera Event not on scanner. No medal awarded. Did 11 qualifying portal actions all shown on COMM between 15:47 and 17:17 Atlantic Standard Time.
issue identified and solved
Knock, knock! Is there someone in the house? Same problem here, the first 4 beacons counted towards statistics for the event, but not the following ones. Still waiting for a solution, for I wouldn't like to throw more beacons away...
I tried hacking and recharging, but I still couldn't count up. What should I do?
my count is incorrect!!!!! I already did the procedure with all the Battle Beacons
Same for me. A friend and I interacted with 10 portals and my medal counted 6 and his counted 8.
