@einsteinfal while it might feel like your the only player in your region and it can get boring look at it this way..your portals wont get attacked and will stay up longer and when you level up you can find interesting places to create portals.
Its awesome to read you got in the way of @Azhreia 's big fielding event that was co-ordinated so thats sure made an impact on there trip and a good laugh to read the report.
Explore your region and find some places that may be good portal locations and work towards creating them and as they say in the films "if you build it,then they will come"
Try the other games as well and see if you can convince any Pogo/HPWU players to Join in your region.
It may not be easy but some of us agents like a good challenge.
