@NianticOfficial The WHO has labeled the COVID-19 a pandemic. It would be wise to reconsider the Requiem Anomaly. Hundreds of agents are making plans to travel from all over the world to Munich, including myself. I want to attend an anomaly more than most people I know. However, I think in light of the WHO's announcement, reconsidering the cancellation of Requiem in Germany is in everyone's best interest. Germany is currently a "hot spot" for the disease. It would be reckless to have agents travel to Germany for a recreational activity, potentially obtain the disease while there and then spread it to their home area. I think cancellation would be best at this point.

If you don't want to go, then just don't go. You don't need Niantic to make that decision. Whether an event two months in the future would have to be cancelled, that decision can be made later on.
Niantic will have to make a call on whether it goes forward or not in the best interest of everyone's safety, or that decision might be made for them if bans on events or travel happen, but by all means if anyone feels the risk is too high they can decide for themselves not to go regardless of what the official decision is.
now is the time for niantic to decide about all upcoming events including the anomaly if it should go on as planned or reschedule future...
The anomaly has been cancelled, but for players with travel insurance, "I decided not to go" is in a very different category from "the event was cancelled".
Is it true that this event was postponed? If so when is the expected date? Also what are the off-site opportunities for a US agent?
Do you not watch the news? I think it's very unlikely that Germany will even allow tourists from other continents before autumn or even before next year.
I only pay attention to local news. Maybe Niantic will pick a different location then.
@CocoaPig here is the announcement for the postponed events. https://community.ingress.com/en/discussion/10024/updates-to-upcoming-ingress-events
