The closest word I can think of Perpetua is perpetual - something to be lasting. Even Janus hints at that on the main Tessellation website with some alliteration - Perpetua Perhaps Perpetuating Perplexity.
It's a most like a shell. We know it's the dreamer so I was also thinking perhaps a brainstem?
