Yin and Yang

So according to the Anime Resistance and Enlightened are Yin and Yang. Male vs Female tendencies. I wonder how often Male are drawn to Enlightened and Female are drawn to Resistance. As a man I fit the stereo type (at least according to the Anime) but I wonder if there is an actual tendency.
