What is Ruck the Box? RtB is a competitive team event to cover at least 10km on foot within 3 hours wearing 10+ lbs of weight in your ruck. The team that covers the greatest distance will receive the elite gold Ruck the Box patch. All teams finishing the 10k requirement will earn the standard patch. Anyone can participate, but registration is required.

Just wanted to say thank you for doing RtB for the weekend's events. We had 16-20 in Christchurch for Ruck the Box, and I think the ruckers ended up being the most social of the Ingress agents during Mission Day! Our team did a good ruck, averaging ~13.7km for the three hours. It was a good experience. I hope RtB can be made available as an option for future Mission Days. We also did XF teams, broken out into different teams based on the pace they wanted to do. It worked well.

A fair number of people said in the Telegram chat that they were planning to register for Ruck The Box in Salt Lake City, but it was cancelled for low participation. If the date for the go/no-go decision had been published, or if the need for a minimum number of signups had been made clearer, there might well have been enough sign-ups in time.
