Could we have an increase on the number of missions we are allowed to submit? I had to withdraw several missions in order to make a banner for an upcoming First Saturday event.
@mobilete that seems like a good idea, but would be unfair for rural players. Maybe if the number of completions is related to the mu available where the mission is.
I would also, have to agree with this. I have several mission banners that have become well known in the area. Taking them down seems wrong simply to make new ones. The only reason I have been able to keep trucking recently is the fact that I an area of a theme park went down for long term construction, because I know many people only have money to get in a few times I didn't want them to start a mission series then discover they couldn't get mission 15 because of construction. So I ended up pulling 4 banners.
Asking another agent to submit is not really a good solution. Planning out a good pathway for a large banner takes a lot of effort and experience to do right. I have gotten my son to submit a mission for me, but I was in the room with him and able to explain the best path, etc.
Then there's the issue of being able to edit the mission later. Sometimes new portals come in that could improve the missions, but if someone else submits the missions for you it's harder to get those edits made. Even with the example of the mission my son submitted for me, it's been hard to coordinate a time to make an edit I think is needed.
@ntzz it would be very unfair to give more missions based on the number of agents who complete the missions, because that would give an advantage to people who make missions in large cities.
Unfortunately those agents with 150 missions online are likely to be also the most experienced ones when it comes creating quality missions and banners. Limiting those agents with arbitrary cap seems like a bad move from NIA.
NIA raised the cap already once, and I think they should do it again.
I think banners (especially those which are designed to be XFAC) should be highly encouraged by NIA. They make agents travel around, discover new places, meet and socialize with fellow agents.
What is a cornerstone of Ingress if not this? As today, 150 missions are not really enough (even because today everyone wants to submit at least a 6 missions banner, see IFS banners).
It would be great to not have any mission limits (I understand it could be a bit difficult) but considering that not everyone submit banners, raising the cap should not be such a big deal and would make everyone happy.
Working together for large mission banners have been done like this forever. Seems like as long as you communicate and coordinate with each other, this will work fine.
With the current and ongoing new development of the "Mission Feature," a few questions.
Is there a feature request on the SPEC LIST of Features for Missions/Banner Missions, for an increased number of 150 missions? If so, what is the planned number? I would like at least 500 missions, while I know that there's a dream opportunity by one agent in my #MissionProject Banner Mission Community that would like 2000.
Will users be able to increase their Missions beyond the 150? With the feature like that of "Inventories" in the new Harry Potter game and "Bag & Monster Space" in Pokemon Go, agents are allowed to increase their spaces for Missions/Banner Missions in increments or to however many they desire when authoring their missions/banner missions. Many would like at least 500 as noted above. 500 with an ability to increase to 2000 would be a great option.
Will the agents authoring their missions have the feature option to state: Single Mission or 6/12/18/24/36/42 etc... to help the Mission Reviewers System queue the missions as a 'WHOLE' banner mission vs. reviewing in a single one at a time mission?
Will the Mission Reviewers have the feature to identify if a mission is part of a 6/12/18/24/36/42 etc... so that the artwork can be viewed as one whole image and be tasked to that queue for review for improved artwork viewing to evaluate the mission and artwork accordingly?
If a Reviewer goes on vacation and is in the middle of say a 42 banner mission, can the system then send the remaining missions to the next available Mission Reviewer?
Will the Mission Reviewer Rejections be updated, refreshed, or honestly, redesigned and thought out, due to the differences in 'Single Missions,' vs. 'Banner Missions'? Sample case in point: THEMES vs. Single Missions, where Artwork doesn't apply to the portal because its part of a the larger banner mission image. Or Description doesn't match the artwork or Title etc... While these rejections might fit a Single Mission, they do NOT fit a THEMED Mission. So the real question in this is, 'Will there be an 'Over-Haul' on Mission Reviewer Criteria? And will this Criteria be displayed for Mission/ Banner Mission Authors?
I'd like to see the action radius for Field Trip waypoints increased from 40 meters to 60 or 80 meters.
Portals must have safe pedestrian access -- there is no such requirement for waypoints. For example, if a beach waypoint that was once safe to access at low tide is no longer accessible under any conditions due to erosion or ocean level rise, it tempts agents doing the mission to endanger themselves. A similarly located portal could be reported for removal.
Missions should be for exploring new locations and cultural content, not for spending 40 minutes walking around a locked building hoping for favorable drift onto a waypoint.
I can say I have done both of those .. crossed warning tape to hit a non-portal beach waypoint in a banner at high tide with super big waves, and had to wander around inaccessible areas for an hour trying to hit a non-portal waypoint. 1000% agree with Morganza that increasing the radius for field trip waypoints is a very good idea to increase agent safety, particularly as what was once safe may no longer be.
Just wanted to add my 2p to this. More submissions. Not for me, I've done none, but for the people producing high quality banners and then pulling them to create more. I'd happily donate my 150 to the people I know are making the quality banners if I could. Me submitting on their behalf just isn't feasible or supportable, short or long term, plus they deserve the credit.
we need more missions to submit more FS banners and more other banners, we are creating user content to keep ingress being interesting to old and new players.

Could it be possible to get a new submission for each time a mission is completed by more than 10 agents for example ?
@mobilete that seems like a good idea, but would be unfair for rural players. Maybe if the number of completions is related to the mu available where the mission is.

you can simply ask other players to submit it. for events it is possible solution, every L7 agent can submit missions...
Would be nice to increase the number of mission with correlation of number of agents do your missions or with the missions of that Agent have.

@Pangarban And? What is the problem?
if you spend more time doing a job like searching or doing a good image for a banner, creating a good route.... why don't give him a bit more value?
There is too much difference between a banner with 1-2 lines with bad words than a good picture and 7-8 lines...
Also, if you create such a good banners in villages o small cities, that Agents goes to get this and make some turism.
Totall cap of 150 missions looking good for me.

How about paid submission?
Unfortunately, the field trip waypoints are going away soon. We aren't going to get any updates to how these work.
I'd even pay for more mission slots after the first 150.
+1
