Future challenges

I heard you were looking for ideas to monetize Ingress. Could you run events like these recent challenges but charge for the badge? I was thinking two tiers. A minimum to get the badge and an elite tier for a top percentage. If we could include everyone in the event and just e-mail passcodes to everyone who participates (meets the minimum) even without paying for the badge that would be ideal. I just think the longer events would be something better for the winter weather and would be easier on the server.
