Umbra Antwerp issues.
Spent a good hour or so wresteling connection problems or apocalyptic lag (20+ seconds between hack button tap and output). Of a kind i've never experienced in the year or so i've been on Prime now, or ever in Ingress for that matter. Better half got flat out logged out of the game. In my perception this started going down precisely as anomaly (and thusly metric recording?) officially started, during inoculation I had no problems interacting with my scanner.
Needless to say that was an intensely infuriating experience. People travel from who knows where to go to these events and especially now that they are for all intents and purposes paid events, you really can't reasonbly explain some server getting back pains anymore. You need to start overdeploying capacity. These issues were made readily appearant during field test. Why did this happen.

This was my first anomaly, and it will be the last for a while to come. Not because of the 15€, but because there was no playing possible. It was like paying to get into a theme park with all attractions closed. I do not think it is a prime issue, rather I believe Niantic completely underestimated the load. Which is strange since they did beta tests before (fs, ...).
at the moment I even do not care about the medal, rather hoping this is a wake up sign for Niantic.
its weird they said they would scale up the servers for anomaly, yet so many issues i dont understand ?
After an hour Prime ran fine for me.
Everyone I spoke to had problems for approx ½ to 1 hour after the beginning of the anomaly. After this issue was resolved, Prime really flew for me. It was a joy to use in the heat of battle, with far fewer error messages or lag than has often been the case in the past. The last couple of updates have really moved the playing experience forward.
It was the opposite in Brooklyn, last 90 or so minutes was a mess of errors and connectivity issues.
After an hour means that 1/3 of the anomaly was ruined by the server meltdown :-(
About 1 and half too 2 hours before my scanner worked the way it should.
