You forced us to pay to participate to an anomaly, and we can't play... Prime doesn't respond... You must have to think about a refund, and a participation of the flight and hotel....
I couldn't play for over a hour in total after doing one hack because of a crash and a black screen of ****. After I could finally play 10 minutes later this was my screen. If I had to guess my experience is that I could play less then 50% of the time this anomaly.
I do wonder how Niantic is going to make this up with us. A sorry won't happen again our servers are now allright we did some tweaking scouts honor is not going to cut it.

I was also in Dresden and I can confirm this unacceptable gameplay experience. Not to mention a similar experience ago during IngressFS which should have be a warning for everyone at Niantic. Charging money for badges and not even allowing a smooth anomaly after so many years...
In Dresden the game never started to work properly during measurements, although it imporved a little towards the last one. Between them it worked, but that hardly counts when it's Niantic who has decided on those time slots. The only way to **** basic xmp was to spam them to the queue, with something like every fifth to every tenth command going through.
I would maybe accept that it's a new version with new problems. However, 1) Niantic took a payment for this, 2) they've had half a dozen years to get their basic operation (servers, load balancing) together, 3) they tested the version in two occasions that went badly and that amounted to nothing, and 4) I feel that the "
It’s time to create an international We Don’t play ingress day! For 24 hours we stop playing to protest the obvious and extremely inferior new version known as Prime. Any buddy who thinks this version of Ingress is better than the old one has never eaten decent food in their life. slept in a decent bed or been outside their mom’s basement.
Prime is not better. Been playing since May 2015. Redacted was the better app. While I agree it needed updated, Prime is too shiny and flashy. The colors still suck in Prime and so does the performance.
I am an acknowledged specialist in software architecture and scalability. My services go for over a thousand dollars a day.
This was utterly preventable and utterly negligent from niantic
I can state in my opinion that niantic has no excuse for this when people had paid. The fact that they could scale servers up half way through the anomaly, means they had the ability. They just had no desire to spend a bit more money and make it a workable experience.
This is not a laymans opinion. Niantic you are negligent.
Niantic... Niantic... Niantic... As a week 1 player, software developer, Google consultant, we gave you so much to get the requisite # of players to meet earliest milestones, we spent thousands of dollars in fuel, travel & lodging. We voted on Reddit and overwhelmingly disapproved of Prime yet you came-up with excuses rather than solutions.
I'm more convinced now than ever that you really don't care what those who've given so much desire. You continue to fail to reciprocate.. This is far from the first time you've failed to provide enough server resources... But this player is done. I have full belief you are proof of The Peter Principle and wouldn't be surprised to see you lose sufficient mass of players by year's end. You just can't re-write your repeated history of failures.
Turn out the lights, the Portals no longer matter.
Prime looks nicer. The menus in redacted look like a child's toy. Prime has more features. There's valid complaints with prime. The push notifications stopped working because who knows why. Some newer high end phones have reports of bad performance. Yesterday I ran into the dreaded nomination timeout that shouldn't exist. But one thumb navigation is really nice and made me not want to use redacted as my daily driver before its retirement.
I don't think anybody expected perfection this weekend. But we did expect to have the ability to use the app. I don't think refunding paid tickets is out of the question here to be honest.
If the problems were so bad that it keep an agent from earning the medal, them a refund might be in order, because the ticket was mostly about the medal. Even then, there might be difficulty proving Niantic's issues are the only reason they didn't earn the medal. I can't didn't earn a medal for Myriad because T-Mobile is awful in Madison, Wisconsin.
Otherwise, it becomes a weird legal dispute about how much fun an agent deserves for $15, and a judges evaluation of how much fun they had. Those kind of disputes usually get settled with "Here, have a coupon for next time."
Unfortunately I didn’t see any problems on my scanner yesterday during the Anomaly in Sacramento. Granted I did nothing but GORUCK RtB hacking, but I want to say it depends on what service providers you use and how many people are in the city in that specific location. I heard the same thing like this happened at San Diego Anomaly a few years back because of ComicCon.
Brooklyn, it was completely busted until the moment the ornaments went out. Then everything was 100% functional.
Funny thing is how I could do literally ANYTHING else on my phone that requires bandwidth, and it was fine. The servers being dead was not acceptable, point blank

I mean I knew it would be slow. I didn't know it's be impossible.

Antwerp, only the first, say, 30 minutes.. After that, smooth, with only 1 crash.

I guess everyone in Dresden has had those issues. Half of the anomaly was unplayable.

In Brooklyn I only got to play for 45 minutes total. Everything just hung.
Failing to learn from it’s Pokémon payout, Niantic sets itself up for a round of international class-action lawsuits. Monetize that!
There's an easy solutionfor Niantic!
Only open Prime to those that paid to participate in anomalies and keep the rest of us scrubs out 🤣
Prime is literally better though. Beacons, better submissions, can be comfortably played with one hand.
The problem is obviously their servers.

This says it all

I want to add my 2p worth.

i wasn’t participating in the umbra anomaly but this has to be fixed before the next anomaly/FS/field test.

Busted! Niantic!
We paid for nothing!
You earned money for nothing!
You even didn‘t spend a single word of apologies by now!
Poorest perfomance ever in all disciplines:
Programming, Customer Care, Communication, Trustwortyness, Listening to customers...
Sorry you feel this way. Uninstall the game, we as a community will survive with out you. Enjoy mom's basement
Just look at the XM-Bar and the screen effects. Of not enough XM.
"We as a community" said one voice in the thread, where everyone else is bitter about this sorry excuse for an app which prime is ;)

Prime is good. Niantic just completely screwed up the anomalies. Have they even acknowledged or apologized anywhere?
