Wonder if it is a code for a geocache placed on site. That would eliminate the need for a BGAN as brought about as a valid concern earlier by @MadRelique. They did say some of the Tessera may be tethered to physical objects:
"More infrequently, specific Tesserae may be made available as physical objects, which will be acquirable by Agents as live- or dead-drops. These will be harder to obtain than digital Tessera, and worth more points in the final tally. I’m led to believe one will be made available at the Umbra Anomaly in Sacramento."
Why not Kaltenberg?
Kaltenberg is correct. (Read columns > 9005 3020 1021 > RAL color codes > German flag.) - however: nothing to find there tonight …
btw: Just tell us when we can come back there to build another set of portals - imho the most immersive ingress experience so far ;)
My sources (Thanks @Vamtrix ) are saying that there is only one geocache in the area of Navarro.

I'm sure there are hundreds of people enjoying this "event", but there are thousands more of us who have no idea what is going on. And if we complain in the slightest we receive "love it or leave it" rhetoric. Community is great, but if the game isn't even playable, how do you expect people to access this second layer of the game??
This event is actually straightforward. Every week PAC posts a clue in this forum as to where am object is either in real world or hackable portal. You have to figure out from the clue where it is. It is anywhere in the world, so you have to work as a team with your faction to acquire it. Both factions have teams decoding and leadership coordinating with local group to grab it. When you see someone post a tessera here, it's actually a global effort. This is a good reason to get to meet and know other players from you faction, they will be able to tell you how to get in touch with your team. Otherwise you can decode solo, and try to get the info to your teammates through in game comms (who can then pass it up people who can grab the tesserae).
I think this is an awesome event, something very unique and interesting - but you really need the team and community.

@Truthseeker this is kinda how agents who have hacked both the sapporo and kaltenberg portals before feel.We had agents from both factions hack portals multiple times and yet they did not receive the media. It would also help everyone if you could provide how the clues are to be decoded for the ones who's media have been found!
I think the solutions can be found in each factions Tesselation Chat, as both factions made it there on their own
Dear Niantic and Trustseeker,
I'm writing to you as one of the Resistance agents involved in finding and collecting the media at the Schloss Kaltenberg location. First of all I'd like to congratulate the ENL and RES players for finding the media, and all the players involved behind the curtains. It's awesome to see that both factions are doing their best to find and collect the media to defeat Nemesis. You did a good job!
Shortly after the challenge was posted we decoded the portal in Kaltenberg and sent an agent there. The agent arrived only a few hours after the challenge was posted. However, he received no media-item. We sent two agents there the next day, but the media-item still didn't drop. Last night two Enlightened agents visited the portal and received the media-item. After this, different Resistance agents visited the portal, and received the media-item as well.
To illustrate more clearly, please look at the following timetable using CEST timezone (Germany local time). The information can be verified by COMM or Community Forum posts, or by the screenshots below:
- 2019-10-10 20:52 = Hint was posted on the Community Forums.
- 2019-10-10 23:10 = RES agent (@Grube375) on site hacking and deploying all portals, including the Schloss Kaltenberg portal. No media nor deaddrop found.
- 2019-10-11 01:00 = RES agent (@uditaren) posted on the forums which hints we had decoded and that the agents' visit didn't yield any media.
- 2019-10-11 14:30 = RES agents (@70MicMik75 & @Ammersee) on site hacking and deploying all portals, including the Schloss Kaltenberg portal. No media nor deaddrop found.
- 2019-10-15 21:00 = ENL agents (@BastyG & @sahiner) on site hacking and deploying portals, including the Schloss Kaltenberg portal. Found the media!
- 2019-10-15 22:36 = RES agents (@amindingsda, @kallagan63 & @igor4cro) on site hacking and deploying portals, including the Schloss Kaltenberg portal. Found the media!
I have two questions:
1. I would like to know how this is possible and, if a mistake has been made with the release of the media items, what can and will be done about this.
2. I would like to know how the score for first-find will be interpreted. While ENL were the ones to find the actual media first, they were not the first on-site to hack the correct portal.
