If we all pay those 15 or what dollars, does that mean Redacted can stay for the Anomaly or do we get a decent working version of Prime before(!) the Anomaly?
The current 2.31 release is pretty good. I believe one more patch will hit before the anomaly. It's a free game and anomaly is in no way mandatory. If enough people pay the 15 dollars, it means you can continue playing this game for free if you choose to do so. NIA stated often enough that Ingress needs to be financially viable, something it isn't currently and they're trying to figure this out.
15 dollars, that's a few beers or a month of netflix for the family subscription. With all the travelling and expenses, what is 15 dollars really.
Oh, I don't mind paying the 15 dollars for something good, but if it means that I have to play the anomaly on Prime with still too many bugs, I just don't feel like paying. Nowhere we pay for something bad in the hopes it will become better, why should we now?
For those without, who might have been saving for a year or more to be able to attend, to then ask for what might equate to a month's wage - bit wet fish to the face if you ask me.
If Niantic charges that anomaly fee, then Niantic should not be profiting off the backs of the POCs. Niantic staff should be shouldering the burden of organizational work the POCs have been putting in volunteer hours to do.

They make millions from the other games.
This game, currently, feeds the poi database.
I'd say its paid for itself many times over.
15 dollars is a months wage in some countries.

Prime worked fine in helsinki.
$15 is a drop in the bucket compared to all of the other expenses you pay while attending an anomaly.
For those with means, yeah.

There are also local players, remote participants and people who cannot afford any more than they already planned and spent.
I think it's funny that the badge sets are still coming "Soon". That's where they could really be making their money.

Organize what? The player teams? The player created swag? The player faction specific parties? I for one don't want Niantic meddling in any of that.
