Ingress shutdown during hack event on the weekend

I am quite disappointed that Ingress is shut down during the hack event, on the weekend, without an announcement before the start of the event.


There has been some talk about improving usability of Prime. So I did have high hopes. But neutral portals are still invisible and low level portals are still hard to see on flat view. Perspective view is still dizzy and disorienting.


This is really sad.

    Ingress isn't shutting down, only Redacted will not be available for 24 hours. Prime will still be usable the whole time. And since Redacted is going away for good in a couple of months, might as well start migrating over anyways.
