wrong BAN

A few days ago our friend "@kamowalker" 's account was permanently terminated.
He had been fighting in the game in Kyoto city for the past 11 years, almost every day and night, often through the night. He had scored about 1.5 billion APs.
The reason for the ban is completely unknown to him or to us. (Previously, when his account was suspended for 30 days, it was thought that the reason might be a xiaomi phone. However, it appears that this was not the cause.)
If I had any certainty, it was that He would be on the battlefield until the EOS moment of ingress.
But the intervention of wrong BAN ended his fight.
What a terrible thing. A wrong ban is worse than a cheater not getting banned.

I would suggest they appeal their ban here;
I doubt Niantic check this section of the forums, and they would likely suggest the same if they did
thank you. I know that NIA's user support is not working properly.🙄
we had a similar incident
even my friend was immediately terminated, without suspension
When logging in, it says the account has been permanently terminated
appealed but rejected, and cheaters are difficult to get banned, some of them even only get suspension
This does nothing its outsourced and they just look to whether the ban applied matches on both sides of the system. Same as runescape.
That’s the way that is suggested to submit a ban appeal. I imagine all the Niantic Help pages/chats are outsourced. I haven’t had to appeal a ban before but I have found the other Niantic Help/support things useful from time to time.
If you buying some inventory not from official shop and received inventory from someone. And thats inventory from bot account it can make instant ban and not warning at all. Even though you've appealed several times, Niantic won't care
Is does grate knowing that there are 'players' (a term I use loosely) out there who are blatantly cheating, spoofing and backpacking with more than one account, yet nothing is dine to rid them from the game.
Yet someone who plays the game by the rules can easily be banned.
It is little wonder why people get annoyed with the management of this game...
There's very few legitimate players left and they are leaving too. Ingress may be popular in some areas but overall it's not what it used to be. The bad actors have ruined it for everyone. But considering it was one of the first augmented reality games you have to expect some flaws. The game mechanics favor those with more numbers. It's never been a level playing field. It's like playing chess with a queen and a bishop against an opponent with every single piece. And one opponent can keep creating new pieces to help bolster their side. Rules don't matter to some and there is no enforcement mechanism to combat the bad actors. It's a great concept for a game but too many exploits to consider it fair.
A friend of mine just discovered that their account has been suspended. They had pretty much quit playing but came out of retirement for a shard night. I know this person well enough to be quite certain that they weren't cheating.
