Hey all! I joined yesterday, and I was wondering if Ingress Prime was still getting active support? What's the roadmap for 2024?
Ingress is still getting support, with a couple releases each month. Sometimes the releases are detailed here: https://ingress.com/news/
Ingress is still getting development too - the daily Bounty system was introduced earlier this month: https://ingress.com/news/2024-introducing-bounties/
What do you mean by "Is Prime still under active development?" Are you asking if they're still comparing Prime to Redacted? They are not.
LOL there hasn't been a roadmap for years.
Things just occur randomly and we're either pleasantly surprised or disappointed.
Yesn’t.
Overall, Niantic is keeping most of their focus on Pokemon GO, but their other games are still being supported in some manner.
Thanks for the responses everyone! I was just wondering if Ingress was still alive, and I'm glad to see it is :)
no road map sadly. but where they going they dont need roads maybe ?
Somewhere on thia's desktop is "Q2 2022 roadmap (draft).docx"...
Oh do I have a surprise for you from what I've heard
Lots of new features, never completely finished, and then a new feature gets released. Laggg issue remains after what? 3-4 years now?
Sure, "active development".
It's alive in the sense that niantic keep it alive purely for the portal scans and wayspot contributions a few select agents make, as a competetive game it's totally dead.
