New bounties mid-day?
A few days ago I'd done 3/4 bounties for the day and then went off to do other things for a while. Went I checked again I had four bounties available to me, which I then completed. As of right now I have 43 bounties completed and 10 research days completed.
This isn't supposed to happen, right? I've been traveling and haven't paid a lot of attention to discussions, but my understanding is that you should get four bounties per day and that's all until the next day. Is there something I'm missing?

43 in 10 days is possible, if you have 10 completed days with 4 bounties each, and 1 uncompleted day with 3 bounties.
Maybe you completed the tasks unintentionally, and they are counted even if you do not claim the bounty.
@saarstahl That makes sense, but how can I have three bounties completed for the day and also have four available for the day? That part doesn't make sense.

Your screenshot is weird. It shows 3 of 4 tasks completed in the upper part, and 4 uncompleted tasks in the lower part. Does that change when you restart the app?
@saarstahl That weirdness is exactly what I was asking about. This happened a few days ago while I was traveling and it hasn't repeated.
On that day I completed three of the bounties shortly after midnight then later in the day I logged in and had four uncompleted bounties. I don't remember whether I restarted the app but I think I did and it was still in that situation. I also believe that the three new bounties were not the same ones that I'd completed before I went to bed but were new on that day. The one holdover was recharging 40K, which I couldn't complete before bed because almost all of my keys were more than 4000km away.
@mortuus If you only get four bounties per day and that's it, as seems to be the case, then it wouldn't be possible to have three completed in one day and also have four uncompleted ones. If you sometimes got new bounties after completing some in that day then that could happen, but I didn't think that it worked that way. IOW this is most likely a bug but I want to confirm my understanding of how it works.
This is day 12 so the theoretical max should be 48. What Hosette is showing is being above that maximum with the new bounties she received.
The date of the screenshot is 2024-02-13 11:00 EST.
As of right now, 2024-02-18 18:30 PST I have 11 research days complete and 47 research bounties completed. Since bounties launched on 2024-02-08 based on the date of this forum post (at 9:35 PST) as well as this official Ingress post it looks like I've completed three additional ones.
Maybe when you traveled you change timezone and hit midnight again and new bounties was generated? :D
@Kashpir666 That's an interesting hypothesis. However, I traveled three timezones to the east on 2024-02-10, three days before this happened.

my bounties also reset on 20th after the server crash.
Eh, just go with it, bonus mods and a leg up if there ever is a retroactive badger.
