The Ingress team chose not to have these new Wayspots sync to the game.
While all Wayspots will be added to our Niantic map, it is still left to each game's inclusion rules to determine which Wayspots will make it into their games. Please be advised that these new Wayspots will not be present on the Ingress map
I know this. There are some legitimate wayspots in the new addition. But if an Ingress player nominates them, they are getting rejected as duplicates. But the duplicated wayspots are not syncing to Ingress.
What to do?
For example, in a village I recently went, all the eligible spots are in only wayfarer but not in Ingress. This issue is much bigger and spreads across India. Please do something about this?
I can’t do anything about it. It’s a decision by the Ingress team. Your best bet at a response about it is messaging Brian Rose on Twitter to see if the team change their minds.
Maybe the Wayfarer Team Manager and Ambassadors should suggest that instead of storing these debris in the Lightship database, they store them in the PGO team database.
I'm disappointed in the Wayfarer team for spreading low-quality, inaccurate rubble all over India.
It's an act that will cost Niantic the location database hegemony in India, forever.
And they seem to believe that PGO trainers will turn them into high-quality, accurate diamonds. However, six months later, the low-quality stuff is not still gone, the photos are forever unimported, and the locations are still inaccurate.
Therefore, coal will never turn into diamonds.
And if they stay in that state, they will never be imported into Ingress forever, Ingress is dead in India.
Unfortunately it doesn’t seem like it was a decision of the Wayfarer team.
I understand the Ingress team not wanting to do the imports but I feel that Ingress players would be more motivated to do the “clean up” with adding new photos and reporting invalid items.
It's inappropriate for the Wayfarer team manager to unilaterally designate a subpar wayspot in front of the Ingress team and agents, while pressuring them to accept it.
Agents who grasp the core of Ingress would undoubtedly refuse such an offer.
The Ingress team should not be subject to criticism from you, the Wayfarer ambassador.
It's the Wayfarer team that is at fault.
Or are you implying that this rubble holds as much significance as the blankets given by the English to Native American Indians?
If you were aware of the consequences faced by the Native Americans who received those blankets, our rejection would be justified.
The appropriate course of action is to transfer all wayspot data related to the rubble to the PGO team and to purge the Lightship database maintained by the Wayfarer team. This would enable Ingress agents in India to nominate portals that are correct, of high quality, and accurate.

I know nothing about the blankets thing so can’t equate it to something else.
I don’t think your solution will happen as I guess the Wayfarer team will want to see if other game teams such as Pikmin Bloom (as that will soon get a map sync) may take the India Wayspots.
I’m not claiming to know what the solution is, but I don’t think it’s that.
Anyways, I am not in India and this likely won’t affect me and it’s not something I can do anything about as a Wayfarer Ambassador as the decision not to import was from the Ingress team.
Just wanted to note this though;
It's not our job as agents to clean up coal and rubble.
Last time we got an import like this, @NianticThia did not that Agents should clean up and add photos etc.

Another option is to post your thoughts/views in the Wayfarer thread.

This way, both parties will not be disadvantaged.
@PkmnTrainerJ @tp235 This was discussed at length in Wayfarer community. Nothing to avail but disappointment for Ingress players.
@VastExplorer
I understand your disappointment.
I'm disappointed too.

It's wrong to blame the Ingress team for the mismanagement done by the Wayfarer team manager.
It's not our job as agents to clean up coal and rubble.
I’m just blaming the Ingress team saying “no” to the import.
I agree that the actual imports are terrible overall despite saying they would be improved.
The criticism is misguided.

Couldn't agree more.
