New phone, unable to scan portals.

I just got a Google Pixel 8 Pro and I went to scan a portal, it wouldn't allow it. I went to the setting and couldn't find anything regarding enabling scanning. What issue could it be?


Edit: I'm now hearing that certain Android phones are simply out of luck? How is this acceptable? You have badges you can advance?

    Check now with the latest version updated, 2.134.1. I have my Pixel 8 Pro able to scan
