How can I recruit new agents when I’ll need to explain to them that Niantic is not competent?

I worry that being unable to properly sync new wayspots will lead to issues when I try to recruit new agents and need to explain to them that after they reach level 10 they’ll be able to nominate new portals, but need to be careful to avoid the invisible not-portals within 20 meters of the portals they nominate.

How can I sell new players on the game when I can’t defend the company that created it to them as competent?
