No resolution

I’ve been left hanging by Ingress support. How can I communicate with the Ingress support team? Neither using in-app help or the chat help website yields a response other than what seems to be a bot and no action. My issue of Sep 10 stalled on Sep 16:

I put the required resonators into inventory the next day (Sep 17), but no amount of contact to Ingress Support has affected the refund.

  • "We apologize for your patience."

  • It happened again. I accidentally made a purchase using CMU on December 24 at 3:25 pm. I was deploying resonators and accidentally purchased 100 resonators for 9500 CMU. This was inadvertent. It looks like the button to purchase resonators is too close to the deploy button. I requested a refund of the CMU using in app help. “Terrence” says my request has been escalated to the team. Seems like the crickets team.

There is, its in exactly the same place as the buy button, so if you are tapping / hammering out resonator deploys, accidental buys are easy. It's been asked to be fixed previously on the forums (more than once). Either in general or in the bugs section. I'm sure working on the tutorial is much more important than fixing a problem with agents accidently buying resonators, then wasting support staff's time to get it refunded, and leaving bad reviews in the process.

After 11 years it would be nice if they actually listen what the community wants, i dont see how the new agent tutorial has changed anything.

You can't even currently tell who's new these days because of the mass of "agent has completed training" messages in faction comms from agents who haven't played in years or even in a decade.

A few older agents who have actually reinstalled the app and logged in were shocked to see gear available in the store and uninstalled. "just as bad as spoofing" was the comment from one of them who originally quit do to agents spoofing and multi accounting. *sigh*

I mean, at some point, the game is going to change. Throwing your hands up because it's "just as bad as spoofing" sounds laughable at best and probably an unenjoyable agent to be around anyways.

The game HAS to evolve. In my opinion, it's being left in the dust as it is. Bitter agents clinging onto what the game was 7 or 8 years ago isn't helpful to anyone and just a waste of time/energy. Definitely would be nice if Niantic valued our feedback, especially since it's a game some people want to continue playing, but they sure seem to be putting their interests and ideas much further up the priority list than any of ours.

    Niantic doesn't deserve your optimism.

  • Still no response from Niantic help. Is “Terrence” a bot?

I am aware now that there is a purchase button. But as the previous commentator says when you’re tapping to deploy resonators, it’s easy to miss the deploy button, and hit the purchase button instead which is right next to deploy. If you’re deploying as fast as you can, and with purchase and confirm in the same location, the purchase is done before you know it. The game is already too slow for my liking and recent “improvements” have slowed it down further. For a game that requires a critical mass of players, the game developer should be doing all things possible to encourage gameplay and removing things that discourage it.

Didn't you hear? niantic invented red faction (bots) so agents would have something to play with.

More agents leaving the game? No worries, crank up more machina. Hey maybe it will field next.

Would be nice if they made fields. MOAR AP for destroying them!

Niantic has taken very very few; if any ideas of players on board - It's a John Hanke thing.

Shame - it's made the game very stagnant.
