Resuming Ingress from background shows old map screen.

1. Start playing Ingress
2. Play for a while and move to other location
3. Use some other App for a while, leave Ingress on background
4. Switch back to Ingress
->
5. Very often screenshot from UI (from location where you started playing, step 1.) is shown for a short time.
6. After this extra and incorrect screenshot the correct UI is shown with current location.
Assuming that showing old UI buffer (step 5.) makes it just slower to resume Ingress.
This probably also consumes extra RAM / Graphics buffer.
Have seen this behaviour for several months now.

Noticed the same; thought it was because a new phone I have taken into use.
When I move location, and start Ingress, I'm always 'at home' for a split second. It's like looking at a cached screen. Strangely, when I put my phone away, move location and start playing again it always displays my home first, not the place I previously was at.

It isn't just an Ingress bug interestingly enough, Pokemon Go also has the same issue and had it for about the same amount of time. Might be something that Niantic can't fix and is instead a Unity bug.
