Ingress is turning 11! Thank you for advancing the story of XM with us from MZFPK, Echo, Ctrl, all the way through Discoverie. It has been great meeting you out there. We are pleased to announce that the following cities will see the first of 2024 XM Anomaly events:
In celebration of #IngressYear11, the following bonuses will be in effect between 10 November 2023 17:00 UTC and 20 November 2023 17:00 UTC:
- 2X AP for all actions.
- 2X hack output of building gear (Resonators, Power Cubes) from friendly Portals.
- 2X hack output of attack gear (XMP, Ultra Strike) from enemy Portals.
- Drone cooldown reduced to 11 mins.
- Kinetic Capsule Program distance reduced from 8km to 1km.
- 11 Kinetic Capsule Programs can be activated in parallel
- Overclock Glyph Hack duration extended to 110 seconds
- 2X deploy L8 Resonators
Please note that during this period, the regularly scheduled Double AP 2sday bonus hour will not be activated because double AP will be granted throughout.
The Paragon Year 11 medal will be awarded to all Agents who’ve earned more than 0 AP from the Year 10 Anniversary (15 November 2022) through the end of Year 11 Anniversary celebrations (20 November 2023).
Medal distribution will take place some time after the Bonus period ends on Monday, 20 November (PT) and follows the same Medal tiers as Year 10:
- Bronze: Level 3
- Silver: Level 9
- Gold: Level 13
- Platinum: Level 15
- Onyx: Level 16 Recursed Agents will receive Onyx Medals.

I don't know how they disappointed me about less cities for anomalies but they did.
Great looking year medal, way better then last years. But wow anomalies again people from europe must travel very far to nearest...
Why so few cities and not a single in europe ?

oh my bad thought that was south america also :P but still a very low selection is this a sign next year will get even less anomalies from this years 3 each month....
If anything they should do 1 in usa, 1 in europe and 1 asia etc each month instead perhaps.
So only recursed agents are eligible to receive the Onyx Year 11 Paragon medal, or should it say Level 16 agents OR recursed agents?

It's both. Having the OR there is more confusing since it would mean either 16 exactly or recursed.
The AND means if you're at Level 16, or you can be recursed and both apply
Limited places you can have one in the US in the winter. It is a mistake not to have a North America anomaly, but the only logical spots would be Phoenix and New Orleans. ( Florida and Texas would get backlash because those states are showing antisocial behaviors and Atlanta is happening in a couple of weeks. )
Literally had an anomaly in Jacksonville in April. That's probably going to be a Mission Day again in April because it lines up with the yearly Sandlot GORUCK event.
I hope at least there are global challanges for the Anomaly medals. I still have some battle becons to waste.
Go to Portugal and join the Anomaly community and team.
Ingress is a moving game.
It is not a game of staying in the park.
If all you can see is what is happening on the screen, you will quickly reach a limit to your play.
What matters most is the view you see when you stop playing, close your scanner and look up after joining a community and the friends you see in front of you.
For they are all outside the screen, in the real world, not inside the screen.
I may still do so, but after meeting lots of folks at Pokémon GO Fest in London and a few at the Brighton anomaly, I’d love to meet more people who maybe can’t travel as far to play a game.

I’m enjoying this event so far. I keep forgetting to move my Drone but that happens even when it’s an hour between them too.

Links way longer than 500m can currently be created under fields. Haven’t seen this in the announcement. What am I missing?
Don’t get me wrong, I am totally fine with that. Finally I can play again. Portal density is too sparse for the 500m range here and I am constantly under a large enemy field (subject to another thread).
Just wanted to ask for a clarification.

Out today making good use of the double AP +Apex to get back up to a decent level again
Good going. I thought I may hit my second this time (first being in the Y10 event) but sadly not. Should make a good start towards it in 2024.

Unfortunately where I’m at, I’m not gonna get the 10 million or so AP I need. Still, it was a fun event.

They have given themselves some space with “some time after”, as I imagine a few of the team have holidays for Thanksgiving period and the like.
