I'm MinorThreath, resistance agent since '16 I l have recursed and now level 14, have been played since Paititi, 6 mission day's, multiple first Saturday, +2000 agreement in Wayfarer,part of the organizers of FS, played in multiple anomaly, recharge room to Mexico and got know by resistance and enlightened agents from my country, now almost a month ago my account got terminated without reason, as anormal have been my ban that I didn't receive email notification, as any agent I put my ban appeal and hope to get resolve the mistake but it didn't happen, now I came to tell my history and hope to be read by the right NIA worker who analyze my case and let me get back my account, I still remember the thrill of get the guardian medal, sojourner, trekker, I don't want to lose my achievements and worst lost my connection with the with me since I was a college student.

one of our agent also experienced the same thing, at night he played as usual, and the next morning he got terminated when he opened the game, he made an appeal but was rejected , it's ridiculous to see spoofer still alive even if it's reported many times,and legit agent with contributions received terminated
You should appeal your ban through a Vanguard if you haven’t already.The Niantic employees that check the forums have said they don’t forward anything posted here.Edit: See @Azhreia’s post below.
No. Vanguards do not handle appeals. We have no influence or say on appeals and Niantic will not discuss other player accounts with us. We cannot assist with this. Please submit ban appeals via the official channels (either the appeal page on the support page or log a ticket under Account Help -> Login Issues

did u have any gameboost on or whatever its called? i know those triggered some false bans before but maybe its something else... niantic says certain offenses leads to ban without any warnings.
Is it possible someone else hacked your account and used it to spoof? I know all too many people who have weak passwords, especially the ones that use facebook login.
In that cae the ban must be a long time ago, I'm using the same device since July 2021 and never change the default settings
I don't think so, my credit card got cloned months ago, so I change all the passwords of all my accounts and it's super strong according to monster password it takes 602 years to crack it.
I don't know what happen to you, but if you get banned with not any reasons. Maybe, you or your friends (your fac or another fac) use bot farm? Or buying some inventory beside ingress store app.
If you do that, you can get banned without any reason. Even you just receive "inventory" from your friends, you can get ban to without any reason. This ban system like a chain and niantic never send any reason and warning. This case has already happened, since this forum just opened.
Years ago there was a player that spoofed everything in the city and constantly fielded over the city with spoof accounts. The person went through hundreds of viruses every day for almost a year. We worked with a vanguard to try to get some resolve but they couldn't get anything done. The player ended up getting banned for having bot gear. Not for spoofing or playing with multiple accounts. The vanguard tried really hard to help but all their efforts were in vain. Niantic just didn't care. So if anything bot gear is the worst thing that you can do in the game. And if someone gives you bot gear you can get banned with no recourse. The lesson is to never take gear from people unless you are sure you know where they got it. Otherwise you can get banned.

So bizarre seeing folks dislike posts like this, especially when those folks haven't even commented elsewhere in the thread.
Been dealing with a multi-accounter in my area, no fun. Wish Niantic could figure out a way to combat this, doesn't seem likely though.
I know him in person, i've been with him in many events across the country, we did a lot of OPS and exchanged keys of remote areas, i'm in many of the pics he posted and also i was in the city for the Epiphany event when this suddenly ban happened without prior message from NIA, helped with contacting and Ambassador to get some info on how to proceed, no clear response from Niantic just that email after multiple tickets sent.

All recent bans I heard of, have had a xiaomiphone. I have actually heard that the phone collects data in a way that could make niantics anticheatprograme to react.
All selphones are collecting data in one way or another, but something that xiaomei does seems to trigger niantics anticheat program, maybe it has some kind of simularity to how how scraping is done? My knowledge is pretty loosy with these kinds of matter, but if niantic misstakes the phones activity for scraping, it could maybe explain the ban without previously warning. Isnt scraping a thing that niantics sees very seriously about.

I have heard scraping is one of the things that makes illegal platforms to gain info, like the website of that ”the brokers guild”. Niantic sure did care enought to sue them and as I heard also made heavy effort in trying to shut them down.
I really hope that Niantic sees scraping as a serious thing, since I dont know who they are, what they are using the data for, or what they do once exctacted the data they want.
I trust Niantic with the data I provides them with, but its for them only. My consent doesnt include shady guilds only wanting to make things easier for cheaters.

Hello agents, I'm K30o resistance L15 recurse 1 experiencing the same case just like Minorthreath. The night before I can play ingress without problem. In the next morning when I open the scanner there was notification that my account has been terminated permanently for violating ToS. I have already appealed. The answer from Lucas is same just like Minorthreath received.
I played ingress since year 3 (vanguard). Traveling abroad to attend anomalies and mission days. Bought some ingress kits, characters medal, and subscribe CORE 13 months and more. I uphold honesty in playing ingress. But what I got, Niantic system detected I was cheating and couldn't give me some explainations. Niantic didn't give me a chance to defend myself and show evidences that I can prove my location history.
The commonality in recent bans seems to be using a Redmi device.
