Haptic feedback does not work on Android 13

As per title, haptic feedback (vibration) does not work anymore after updating to Android 13, both on "default" and "maximum" setting for haptic feedback.
I just tested it on glyph hacks, but I assume it doesn't work at all.

Thanks for the heads up. We're still working on Android 13 support and we'll investigate further.
I'm unable to repro this on Pixel 6 running Android 13 (TP1A.220624.021), so not sure if this is a Pixel 4a-specific issue or not. Are you on the same version of Android 13? Is anyone else seeing this issue?
Same here. No haptic feedback.

I'm on TP1A.220624.014, which is currently the most updated version of Android 13 available on Pixel 4a
I had the same issue while using 13 beta on the Pixel 4a. I just tested the same issue with my Pixel 6a on 13 stable.
It works fine on my pixel 6, just updated to android 13. Build TP1A.220624.021
Hemlo
I can confirm this is happening for me also.

I got a Pixel 4a and I have vibrations only at glyphing, but I can live with that. More priority should be the possibility to change language in Android 13.
Which version of Android 13 for Pixel 4a do you have?
TP1A.220624.014
I have the same Android version as you but my vibration doesn't work even when glyphing (which is really the only thing where I care about vibration) 😭😭😭😭
Also on a Pixel 4a and getting no haptic feedback, but fwiw I'm also not getting feedback in other apps, so it might be a general Pixel 4a+android 13 issue, and not specific to Ingress
I also have the same issue after upgrading to 13, but I'm on a Pixel 6 (TP1A.220624.021) .
I went searching for a solution to this and found this thread. Same problem.

Update:
Any haptic feedback still don't work for me, EXCEPT for the (annoying) portal zap when I get attacked from a portal (which I recently experimented with the new bug (?) of https://community.ingress.com/en/discussion/20306/friendly-portal-attacks-me-when-i-hack ).
Please take away the zap vibration and give me back the glyphing haptic feedback 😭
@NianticBrian Any updates on this issue? I think the only person on this thread that reports they have a Pixel 4a and ARE getting the haptic vibrations when glyph hacking was @Pr0grammansage. I did a quick experiment and enabled "Touch Feedback" within the Android system settings found at Settings->Sound & Vibration->Vibration & haptics->Touch feedback
Once I enabled that, I began receiving the haptic feedback upon EVERY touch within the game (and outside of the game). This is certainly not a fix, but thought I would share it in case it was relevant. I think your original statement of "We're still working on Android 13 support" is probably where the issue lies. Just seems to only be affecting certain hardware for some reason.
Let us 4a users know if there are any specific experiments or settings you'd like us to try!

same problem on OnePlus 8, Android 13,
I just got the Android 13 update on my phone and was experiencing the same problem.Like @Grath7 reported, I can get it working by enabling the touch feedback in the system settings.
I had the same issue on my Pixel 7a from the start. This information got it working for me, though I don't remember turning off touch feedback 🤔
Happy this got it working now though
