Since many of you do not go to the section with game bugs and game client problems, I will duplicate the link to the main topic here. Let's reach out to Niantic together and stop using third party software to gain an advantage in the game.

    It is either a bug/lag in the game or a third-party software. Have encountered almost the same thing in Dallas, wherein we've nearly wiped out all the resonators owned by a rival agent, but for some reason, it's still on the opposing team's color. Other cheating software would probably involve blocking another agent using a flip card, for all we know. Had encountered that another time, which was weird; it just gives one an insight into what kind of agent one is playing against...

    There has been an issue where one resonator will just be stuck in a "hung" state. Only way to get it to finally update, is to thumb up the image on the portal or use a beacon or fireworks on the portal. I've encountered at least 5 portals like that over the past few years. It really started happening more frequently when the lagg became just a fact of life for Ingress (ie they can't solve it or don't want to).
