You can already "buy" 10 Hypercubes per month by subscribing to CORE. You can also currently get roughly 20 Hypercubes per month from Ingress First Saturday passcodes although I imagine that will tail off soon. If you need more than that, try the Kinetic Capsule.
You need 40 L4+ cubes to make that possible. Also, the game isn't like France for you for other people. If I was able to walk in a city for everything including work with no dependence on vehicles, I definitely would.
Does anyone ever get hard up for hyper cubes? They're not that uncommon to get from hacking, and I get a steady supply from the kinetic capsule, and that's with alternating between hypercubes and SoftBanks. The recurse eagle behind the badge does look cool though, I've yet to double onyx anything yet, but I'll look forward to it!🤣

You'll note that you cannot buy any Very Rare hackable items in store. There's a reason for that.
