Request: scoring change for Kureze phase 3 (or similar future events)
Loved the widely distributed nature of Kureze phase 2 - lots of agents who wouldn’t otherwise have participated got to play.
I’d like to see a change to the scoring system for beacon events going forward. Using a score multiplier based on the beacon category level provides a massive disincentive to contest a portal if your team expects to be significantly outnumbered. Doing so will only increase the points going to the winning team. Having to tell your team that the best strategic play is to stop fighting isn’t fun for either side.
The advantage in an event like this will always go to the team with more agents present, and that advantage can still be reflected in the score via winning 9-0 or 7-2 instead of 6-3 or 5-4. This is enough without amplifying the imbalance with a category multiplier.
Scoring mechanics should be neutral toward imbalances in team numbers, or if any advantage is given at all, give the outnumbered side a minor boost or route back into the contest. Category multipliers further piled on the disadvantages for the underdog in phases 1 and 2.

Agreed that this is very problematic.
However, it's also pretty problematic that we don't have a date (March 19th vs. 20th) or a ruleset yet, and I hope Niantic can at least get us the date soon while they're working on the rules.
Well, too late for changes on Kureze phase 3, but worth considering in any future event with scoring beacons.
category system just push agent to not play wherever they are outnumber.
dumb system again, better not play at all so faction loss less
