C.O.R.E. subscribers and the Onyx Key Locker [Closes 2^H9 August]

If you are a current C.O.R.E. subscriber already at the 6 Key Locker limit, we will delete ONE Key Locker from your inventory should you wish to purchase the Onyx Key Locker.

This is for one key locker only and you will need to purchase the Onyx Key Locker if you choose to (or any other color if you want) at the regular price (3700 CMU). You will want to make sure the Key Locker is empty as any keys in the one you request deleted will be lost.
This isn't a fast/easy thing so deleting will not be immediate and will be done one at a time. If you request this, please have patience with me while I work on it!
Edit 2: Edited first sentence to hopefully clarify and adding some additional commentary that hopefully doesn't make anyone MORE confused. Some Agents may already have 6 Key Lockers. In Ingress Year 5 (long before my time so apologies if I get any of this not exactly right), Niantic gave away a free Key Locker to those who were playing during that year's anniversary event. That means if they already had 5 Key Lockers in Year 5 and then redeemed the anniversary gift, they had 6 Key Lockers. Those Agents are unable to get the Onyx one now because they are already at the max Key Locker limit (6).
Hopefully that didn't add confusion 😬

Hopefully, the capsule deletion happens within the window you can still buy the 6th capsule...
Could you make a statistic which color was removed how often? So we can make a faction battle, whether more green or blue ones were deleted?

Red 1 vs Red 2
I genuinely have no idea which one of mine is red 1 and which is red 2. (Also I don't understand why we're being asked to delete one instead of having had them look different to start with.)
I believe that all this shenanigans would be avoided if Niantic had just made the anniversary one turn into black, and during this event allowed people to buy the old colors only...
It's still in time, I guess, but them there will crying because some will have 2 black...

Are you suggesting that another keylocker will be available in the very near future, to enable us players to have 7 key lockers?
I’m still waiting for Niantic support to acknowledge the 5 months worth of C.O.R.E. Subscription I haven’t received credit for. (I did receive credit for 1 of the 6 months I have paid for). I wouldn’t feel comfortable deleting a key locker and putting my name on this list to pay yet again for something I may not receive as my scanner still doesn't show my subscription is active.
So I accidentally bought the white locker during this (thinking it wouldnt let me have two white lockers).
If I was to request deletion of the second white locker, would that:
a) Allow me to actually then buy the Onyx one as I've already bought a locker during this event? (I think yes but want to be sure before saying to delete it)
b) Refund the CMU I spent on the white one unintentionally?
As there's no explanation as to why you're offering to do this, why is it only CORE members (which I am) that it's being offered to? What is the actual reason for offering to do this, is it for people to get rid of the duplicate coloured caps?

I'm sorry you are experiencing difficulties with this. Can you submit a post in the Bug Report section with your ticket number and I will look into it?
There are no refunds for the Key Locker that I delete.
Figured that after opening and reading the form;
Can I please have confirmation I will definitely be able to rebuy during the event as I've bought one already during the event? Don't wanna end up stuck on 5 just to try and get the Onyx instead of the white I got by mistake

As shown here, that the 5yr anniversary key locker was red and black. But now it is mostly red
I still do jot understand why the 6th locker would have to be deleted to enable the original anniversary key locker to be made blackish.

Or why not just enable the 7th keylocker be made available to all CORE Subscriptions for souvenir keys?
So inadvertedly I purchased a second white keylocker today because I was wondering why all the colours appeared again. It didn't come into mind that you could purchase all SIX of the same colour keylocker! Or even doubles of the colour!
I have made this exact same mistake as well as Dittosaur above and have filled the form with the empty key locker to remove the duplicate white key locker, so I can get a nice onyx one.
I find it really insulting that people who have seven lockers can't get a new locker. It feels like you don't care about your players who have stuck with you through the years. The offer of letting a color swap happen is downright insulting.
It feels like you are just interested in making a buck.

I'm one of the old players who already have 6 key lockers, two of which are now red for some reason.
Do you really think that
1/ I'm going to overload my inventory with 100 keys while waiting for the key locker to be removed at an unknown date?
2/ I'm going to pay to replace something that I got as a gift?

Waiting a little and proposing a system to change the color of its key locker would have been a solution. What is currently proposed as a solution, we can call it theft.
Do you recieve a mail if the capsule is deleted?
