On Translations and Tracker Status

Truthseekers: Thanks for the marathon of translating every rule and announcement posted. After discussing with the NIA, they've conveyed that they will not be assigning Tracker status for the translations, due to the ambiguity when it comes to evaluating their effectiveness. If your efforts were also transmitted to other platforms such as blogs or chat groups for Ingress events & investigations, please do not hesitate to share them in this thread. These documentations will qualify you as a Tracker. If the platform contains OPSEC intel, you may consider reaching out to trusted liaison within your Faction.

    @Truthseeker you shouldn't consider awarding any of "help" that came after the reveal of the badges. Anyone can copy and paste information into a page and claim to be helping the community, just to get an easy badge.

    Just as an example, there is one agent in my community that is helping through telegram, giving information about the event, time schedule and gathering agents to receive and post tesseras. But he never did anything fancy to show up and claim the paragon that way. Dozens of agents of our area are qualified to knight medal thanks to his efforts, and he even got qualified to Paragon during this course.

    It is something to be really careful to prevent awarding opportunistic behavior.

    I had the same question as I had done that when I joined the Tessellation challenge and then helped explain 2-3 agents in my area to guide them to it. But of course we did that on Whatsapp too.

    Hi Mr. Tinfoil Hat, I have a couple of questions about the Tracker badge:

    • I've helped several Finnish Resistance agents to get the Knight medal since the end of Round 11/start of Round 12 by writing extensive instructions in Finnish, reminding them about upcoming global drops, posting the appropriate forum links and passcode list links on Finnish Resistance chat groups and helping the agents with the process, does this count as an eligible contribution for the Tracker forum badge?
    • The groups I've posted in are faction group chats. If my contributions make me eligible for the Tracker badge, how should I report these contributions to NIA? There are no Vanguards in the chats.

    There are several Finnish agents who are able to confirm my contributions for the community. Feel free to ask me more either here or in Telegram, my username is same both here and in Telegram.

    @Truthseeker, I have a similar case to make. I am helping agents with learning decoding and explaining about tessellation and reminding them about pdf drops. They are all in the faction telegram groups and without vanguards. I cant post those screenshots here because its faction specific. I think i have helped over 3-4 agents to get a pdf drop and post it in the proper thread on time. Does that qualifies for Tracker badge ? But i can list the agents who posted.
