Troubleshooting duplicate login methods

I'm troubleshooting an issue affecting a small group of Agents with issues logging in to Ingress, and doing so via email rather than the forum because of the sensitive nature of login information. (Just a reminder that I would never ask for an account password.) This email will be sent from our NIA Ops domain, for example [email protected]
, subject line: "Duplicate login methods on Ingress" to the email addresses associated with affected accounts. Thank you.

Email coming from our NIA Ops team’s @nia-ops.com domain are legitimate messages (for example, [email protected] or [email protected]). The updated email subject line is "We've detected a conflict with duplicate Ingress accounts" to try and make the context of the email more clear. Please note that we will never ask you for your passwords.
We found an issue where some Agents have a conflicting, duplicate Ingress account. This may be an account you’ve never really used or set up an Ingress codename or username for. The email is meant to confirm your most recent successful login method (or how you signed in to Ingress) is the way you prefer to continue to sign in going forward.
If the login information in the email looks good, then you don’t need to do anything and we’ll work to fix this issue. If the information doesn’t look good, then please reach out to our team via the contact form linked in that email so we can follow up individually. Thank you.
