Ingress 2.39.3 Release Notes

We are starting the rollout of Ingress 2.39.3, which includes the following changes and updates:
- Feature: Added four core-shell avatars: Spiritualist; Skeptic; Alchemist; Dreamer.
- UI: Updated visuals for inventory items to increase contrast and vibrance on low and mid-tier devices.
- UI: Added CMU cost below featured bundles in the inventory carousel Store category.
- Bugfix: Action circle radius for Scanner [Resistance] and Scanner [Enlightened] agent avatars set to 40.0m.
- Bugfix: Fixed issue preventing repeat Store purchases.
- Bugfix: Fixed endless spinner on Regional Scores GLOBAL tab.
- Bugfix: Fixed automatic slot advancement when deploying resonators.
- Bugfix: Total item count updates after redeeming passcode on Android.
- Bugfix: Updated animation to reduce ghost resonators on map screen.
- Bugfix: Improved performance to reduce pending attack error messages.
- Bugfix: Fixed Back button behavior on Voluntary Agent Recursion screen on Android.
- Bugfix: Speculative fix to address randomly occurring faction selection.

Enlightened and Resistance avatar lack the tracking smoke while moving.
And there is a bug during linking that makes a portal key disappear, like it was unlinkable, returning to show up only if restart the app.

Sounds like some great bug fixes. Looking forward to getting it. Last several releases have been pretty good. I can play for long periods of time without issue, unless I'm doing a banner. But, keeping it positive, Prime has really come a long way, and is a joy to use now.

There is one for the Redacted ones, it's exactly like it was in Redacted, dark orange
I never noticed it. The prime basic have a clear smoke trails and on scanner redacted it was very clear too. But the classic avatars don't show the shadow trail.
Woot Dreamer is among the first archetype avatars!! Hopefully we will get archetype Glyphs soon as well.

Surprised to see there's no subscription yet.
No fix for de lag when avatar lagging when we move in Prime. Please fix smooth real move REDACTED have to next update 2.40.3

Minor request... Any chance the passcode redemption can be brought to the top or given its own menu like before? It's not as bad as it used to be since the scrolling works much better. But, it still takes about 10 seconds just to get to the screen where I can input a passcode.
@NianticBrian What is "core-shell avatars"? Icons which on upper left of profile?
We're pausing the 2.39 rollout and will hold until next week.
@jplolo it might be better if we investigate a way for both Android and iOS agents to redeem passcodes more quickly, but I don't believe we can include a method to redeem passcodes on iOS per App Store guidelines.
@RuinDig after updating to 2.39, you should see a set of four new avatars that represent different story archetypes. We'll share an insights post from our art team on the core-shell avatars after all agents have access to the latest update.
So, how about the old school "pacman" avatar from that April Fools day back in was it 2015?
I'm not sure Namco would appreciate that.

Thanks Brian, this really shows your commitment to slowly ruin this game.
I guess it must be only me having semi high end smartphone who drops to slide show of frames as soon as my inventory carousel moves close to bundles that have no place to be in inventory. But hey what do I know right? Might aswell just shove them on main play map aswell right? just so we don't miss them.
Mine also drop the frame rate. Maybe it's intentionally, to spent more time looking at it. Well, at least isn't somewhere we go very often.

Sure would be nice if the compass rose could rotate to indicate north on the map for all users. It can be done, because it does that in pokemon go. But with ingress, the compass rose only indicates north if your phone has a magnetometer.
Yes, when Niantic was still a part of Google and the joke was part of a whole thing Google did for that April Fools Day. There would have been some kind of licensing agreement between Google and Namco that a) has long since expired, and b) would no longer apply to Niantic even if it were somehow still active.

Also truncated lines - can't see MU for created fields.
I dont see fix for stop selling achives in store agents work hard for on events.
When you stop using the code codeblock feature to write everything.
