taps do not always register or perform expected actions
[ Android 10, Nubia RedMagic 5S, Prime 2.65 ]
Note that in the video, i have debugging feature "show taps" turned on.
Note that at the beginning of the video, it takes me FIVE tries to get the "manage" button to appear.
At about the 10 second mark, it takes me TWO tries to get that downward arrow to appear.
At the 15 second mark, you can see several cases where tapping the lower resonator does NOT increment the counter.
The remainder of the video shows similar taps which are not registered or do not perform expected in game actions.
THIS PROBLEM IS NOT LIMITED TO CAPSULE MANAGEMENT. There are cases throughout the app where taps are not registered or do not perform expected in game actions. The biggest one being selecting keys in the key list when managing keys.
[hmmm, seems i can't upload an mp4 video. hopefully this works: https://paste.c-net.org/HistoryCrisp ]

That seems way buggier than I've experienced on my Google Pixel 4 (Android 11).
I know there's a bug about the carousel side taps that I have to raise when I can get a video, but the issues with the Manage button went away dozen versions ago for me.
I've been complaining about it since 2019. For me, that was three phones ago...
Sure, but in version 2.50 or thereabouts they fixed a number of bugs with the getting into Manage (and disappearing manage buttons) and I haven't seen the issues you're presenting since then, personally. Just pointing out that it's not a universal issue.
Another example, this time while managing weapons @Perringaiden @NianticBrian
It is my belief that there is some logic that distinguishes between a "tap" and a "drag" that needs tuning. If I tap sharply / rapidly, things work as i expect. If the tap is just a bit slower, things don't work as expected.
[Please excuse the audio, i was watching the 1964 classic "The Last Man On Earth" with Vincent Price, had no idea the recorder would pick up external audio]

That's definitely true. If you're seeing the items 'dip' a little, it's being treated as a drag. But we're also seeing your finger slide down as you tap.
That one is a question of where the distance threshold is. If your finger moves X pixels, it doesn't count as a drag, but Y pixels does. Slower 'taps' often move the centerpoint of the finger contact as more pressure is applied and your finger flattens on the screen, which is what generates some of the 'movement'.
So that would be a question of tuning that threshold to be less drag and more tap.
Noting too that this post:
contains other instances of unexpected actions outside the Capsule.
would love to see this addressed...

Sorry for the delay, @GorillaSapiens! Please try logging in on a different device and check if you're still continuing to face this issue. Do let me know how it goes.
@NianticVK please read other comments in this thread, and note that 11 people have upvoted this bug. I have personally seen this on 3 different devices.
The onus for testing should NOT be placed on your paying customers (yes, i pay for C.O.R.E.).
I have uploaded a video that demonstrates the problem. Other people (on other devices, i assume not everyone has the same device as me) have said it is a problem.
It is, frankly, somewhat insulting for you to suggest that continued testing is MY responsibility.
It is now NIANTIC'S job to investigate this problem, not mine.
@NianticThia ^^^
@GorillaSapiens, I'm sharing this with the team to look into it. I'll circle back when we have an update/more info. Thanks for understanding!
thank you
@NianticVK any news?
