I have been notified that 2 unique Medals will appear in the Scanner after we complete the Tessellation! They each represent individual and group achievement respectively.
- The Paragon: Individual achievement. Awarded to Agents of high participation in the Tessellation.
- The criteria include: First Discoverers, Discoverers, Agents that retrieved Target Tesserae at physical portals but not counted among the first 3, Trackers, Live-Drop attendees, decoders, Target Drop coordinators, vessels, internal coordinators and liaisons that were not included in the categories above.
- The Knight of Tessellation: Group achievement. Awarded to Agents that have contributed with at least 1 qualifying Tessera screenshot or qualified for the Paragon.
- Gold Knight of Tessellation - awarded to Agents of the winning faction.
- Silver Knight of Tessellation - awarded to Agents of the runner-up faction.
Example of qualifying screenshot. The comment should be in the appropriate thread, contain your Faction, and have not been edited. Screenshots with Tessera that are not fully loaded will be counted but are not encouraged.
The meaning of the Titles isn't clear at the moment, but I believe they imply a higher level of duty. The Medals themselves represent your outstanding and persistent contribution when facing the threat of Nemesis as well as other global uncertainties. The NIA will continue to monitor the ever-changing flow of XM. Perhaps there will be more developments in the outcome. I'll be back when I know more.
*Agents who qualify for a Medal but do not wish to receive this acknowledgement of their contribution are encouraged to liaise with their Faction. Awardees of the Paragon will not be able to be exempt from the Knight Medal.

UPDATE:
We will have a more detailed FAQ coming soon from the NIA. To answer the pressing question, how will the NIA gather info on participation that weren't documented on the forum, such as Live Drop attendees, coordinators, and decoders...etc?
-> The NIA will be working with the Vanguards of Ingress to gather a more accurate list of awardees for the Paragon medal.

While I'm happy we're getting a scanner badge for this: here's my opinion.
The scores are really close right now. There's less than a what, 15 point difference right now, roughly? I want to see how many agree with me on this one.
The Osiris victory sequence badge was stupid, and faction tiered badges here sound stupid as well.
Like/heart this comment if you feel the award should be the same for all agents and indicate their participation, and not be marked by which faction won or lost.
What if:
We somehow tie?
Nemesis somehow wins?

Also how is the TH going to verify live drop attendees?
What about those who participated for any period of time (via the global drops) but were not in faction controlled tesselation channels ( for reasons Including, but not limited to: they never became a discoverer or were high ranked in the postings, they (in)voluntarily left the Tesselation channels, "They were Essex", etc)?

Agent Tenkterra comments that they have no way to access the forum due to a bug with facebook linked accounts. Is there anything that can be done to fix their account so they may participate? @Truthseeker

I post my screen on TESSERA Round 8 - Aurora Unmasked on March but i edited the day the post sma day because i mispelled the name of the faction, so i am not candidated to recive the medal?

What exactly qualifies as a decoder? Plenty of people have helped boots decode live-drops and worked together on puzzles without achieving first discoverer
@Truthseeker , I got all media as the missing piece of the badge, courtesy of Quantum capsules and the original capsules in my inventory items, the whole time!!
Cause I sense that all badge as media for many years ago, when I got them all!!
And since the Coronavirus outbreak, you all must stay at home and be strong together, I want you all to wash your hands and gargle the hot salt water in your throat at all times!

@Truthseeker will either the paragon or knights of tessellation be placed in the anomaly row of badges, given their relation to the nemesis sequence and close connection to the anomalies?

you need to be a discoverer within your team's comms or be posted on the proper page during the timeframe for that tessera. Posting here just floods this chat and wastes everyone's time. Please delete :)
The last several rounds were all passcodes given in a PDF AND passcodes that consisted of a portal's name that was obtained via decoding clues posted in various media (or videos, PDFs, or images). Playing the Tesselation without leaving home has been possible.

Correct, but it's an easy fix, participate in the next Global Tessera drop - don' edit! - and you will fulfill the requirement.
If you posted the correct media to the correct thread within its timeframe, then you should be fine afaik. Posting here does not qualify.
